Mos Eisley Cantina vs Dexter's Diner. Which serves the better food? The better drinks? The better popularity within their respectable city/planet and makes more money than the other? Probably the most epic fight between two forces in Star Wars, battle of the restaurants!
If the venator had the same technology as the endurance, the venator would win but if not the endurance easily win. Even tho the venator is more practical and better it doesn't have the same level of technology as a endurance
I completely agree, the missiles make it a automatic win for the V-19, but even without the missiles, once the ships are at close range with each other, and in a dogfight, the visibility from the V-19’s canopy would be the deciding factor the vast majority of the time, since at the speeds involved you wouldn’t be watching yours sensors, but the ship outside your canopy
Agree with this analysis but I think one factor that would give a slight advantage to the tie fighter would be the placement of its guns since they are aligned with the cockpit making it easier to aim compared to the guns mounted on the wingtips of the v19
The v 19 torrent also has another advantage over the tie: it can connect to hyperspace docking rings and mentioned at the end firing at a distance will give the enemy time to react
2:31 the line during that is “we’ve lost gold leader” and then like 5 minutes later Ventress shows up (alone!) and fires a few bolts and then “we’ve lost blue squadron!”.
Stardestroyer Delarosa you're absolutely right, Umbarian starfighter vs tie defender! But you have to support my next match up got it? It's going to be the Republic A-wing vs the Rebel A-wing.
The Tie fighter would likely be faster and more maneuverable than the V19 but I would favour the V19 because it has more weapons capabilities with its missiles. Since missiles can be launched outside of laser range, that would be a clear win for the V19 in my view.
If the battle occurred in atmosphere the Z-95 could have a chance. They performed much better in atmosphere as they had actual maneuvering surfaces and foils, and could perform like traditional aircraft. In _Han Solo at Stars End_ Han leads a bunch of mechanics in old rugged Z-95's in defence of a outlaw base that is currently in the middle of repairing the Falcon. The enemy are top pilots with a ace, who have the latest Tie jobs. They get owned in the stratosphere but Han managers to lead the enemy hotshot into a series of turns that get lower and lower, till eventually he had outturn the usually more maneuverable Tie and take him out. If they could lead the battle to down in the soup they would have a advantage, but they would have to be disciplined.
nah, the secutor would just completely overpower the venator with (what i would assume) would be lots of redundancy in armour and shielding, so i think it should go against something else that can hold it's own, rather than be designed as a fleet component
You make good points. Since we're discounting concussion missiles on TIEs, the only remaining option would be to target the missiles as they come in. The TIEs have superb sensors that can detect missiles & even lock onto them. The V19 still has the edge early, but in a prolonged, close-in dogfight the odds become more even.

Kandosii-type dreadnaught (Mandaolrian Ship) vs Victory II-class Star Destroyer. I think it'll be a fun fight, notably because while I think the Mandaolrian's lose a straight up fight, one must consider that the Mandaolrian's are probably going to try to board the other ship, something that we've not really seen yet in your series. This goes far when you consider that, depending on how many Mandaolrian's make it to the other ship in their Shaadlar transports, they have the potential to overwhelm the garrison, or force a surrender. Plus we need more Mandolrian's in general around here. ; )
The tactic you mentioned is actually one I use in BF2 as an A wing. Especially when you realize the fact that many people have maxed ships when you’re fighting against them if you’re not equally equipped you have to outthink your opponent. The A wing has tracking concussion missiles so I’ll use them as an opener and while the other ship moves to outrun/outmaneuver it I’ll use my speed to get behind it. There are a few tactics to get around this though unless you can lose the missile or tank the damage and avoid laser fire there’s not many that don’t put you in more danger. So it was a very valid breakdown.
Honestly, if I had actual money I would donate, even if it was just 5 or 10 dollars. You’re probably the best or one of the best YT’s I’ve watched in quite some time.
While the V19 is a far superior ship, I think we must remember the different purposes these ships had in their respected navy's. The Tie fighter was never built to function independently, strength in numbers. However the clone army was up against a threat that could be built fast and cheaply. They couldn't dream of out numbering the droid army, thus they built ships that could function well with or without a hoard of troops behind them.
Maybe if the executor can get close. But remember Covenant energy projectors are stupid powerful. In two separate instances they were shown to one shot a Marathon class heavy cruiser and cripple the Infinity. And the CAS has at least 3 of them babies.
random guy The executor is 19 kilometers, while the CSO supercarrier is 28 kilometers. The former's shields and armour won't do much of it gets out ranged by the covenant's energy projectors, much less SEVEN of them. Hopefully, we'll see the vid in august about them.
E-wing all day long way more maneuverable and faster with a huge torpedo compliment. Arc-170 doesn’t stand a chance except maybe in a head to head pass which the E-wing wouldn’t need to do.
Tri fighter, a small group of those things were able to give Anakin and Obi-Wan trouble, and were extremely small, maneuverable, fast, and could pull higher G forces due to no human pilot.
I could easily say your content is worth $50 a video if not more. I wish I had that money. I listen to these videos more then 10 times for the lore info and I love to build models so these detailed ship videos are 2nd to none
Fourth time's the charm? I think that a battle between the Death Star and the Star Forge would be the ultimate battle of ancient and modern Dark Side fueled technology, and a clash of quality (in the Death Star's force fueled weaponry) versus quantity (in the Star Forge's force fueled infinite production of armies)
Peachy Biscuits I think that what would be possible, but it has been shown to need time to prepare its primary weapon before firing, which could give the Star Forge time to construct canonfodder ships and begin an attack. I admittedly have a preference for the Star Forge, but this is why I posed the suggestion, I think that this channel would be far more equipped to answer the question than myself
I knew the V19 didn´t have Hyperdrive, but i had no idea it was shieldless as well. The missile is the deciding factor for me in this fight. It can be fired from beyond laser cannon range, so unless the TIE manages to surprise the V19, the outcome seems clear to me. The V19 Torrent wins with a high probablilty, either because the missile destroys the TIE or the V-Wing does since the missile helped by distracting the TIE.
Right...in the video game. In that game, I can kill an Imperial II Star Destroyer, after I wiped out it's complement of TIEs, with a single X-Wing. That's only six proton torpedoes. Three for each shield generator/sensor dome!! And then wither it down with lasers!! All under mission time of 20 minutes!! A great game though!!!
Inferno T21 buddy, we're talking 3 ISD II's. They're outfitted with 8 Octuple Barbette laser cannons each, plus other laser cannons. Sure, the starfighters may get some work done, but the superior weaponry of the Star Destroyers would destroy the Liberties easily.
General Quasar but the mon calamari shield can take a beating also some cannon wont be focusing on the liberty they have worry about the fighter if they dont they'll be in trouble cause the tie just can do it by them selfs
Inferno T21 that's just not plausible. The main cannons would not focus on the fighters, as that's what the couple hundred of TIE Fighters will be doing. And yes, while the Mon Calamari shield tech is pretty good, sustained fire from the ISD II's main cannons will take them down quickly, especially if multiple star destroyers target one liberty simultaneously.
Well, the Eclipse’s superlaser is a lot less powerful. Unless it destroys the Death Star’s superlaser with its first shot, then it doesn’t have a chance.
Tie fighters are like the Zaku of Mobile Suit Gundam. I don't think anyone had high expectations for the Tie Fighter but it ended up being more popular than anyone expected
TIEs have advanced sensors. Everything feeds into its computers much like the F-22 and F-35. They know what's going on around them. This is how the TIE pilot was able to spot Han Solo from behind and above when he said, "Look out!"
I notice that you quite frequently say "in the Star Wars Universe getting behind your enemy is key." (Paraphrasing it.) But that almost implies that that doesn't make sense in our universe, like s-foils. But the whole point of dogfighting is to outmaneuver your opponent and get behind him to deal the killing blow. Since guns are usually fixed in a forward position, unless you have a tail gunner or some kind of ball turret on your vehicle, you're defenseless from behind. Just look at bombers, they normally are slow and carry a huge payload, making them easy prey for fast moving fighters to pick off. Although many bombers have a reputation for being able to survive hits, many planes will usually go down in a single shot to the plane. I know there will be people to disagree, but what I'm trying to say is, firepower isn't as important in a dogfight as speed, as even some smaller caliber shots can down an aircraft in seconds if they get behind their opponent.
I'm curious; what is the advantage of the V-19's specific wing configuration? I should clarify; I'm not asking about the advantage of having wings in space; I know that Star Wars physics are different to our own. What I'm asking is, why do the V-19's wings work the way they do? In the landed configuration, there is one central wing mounted vertically above and behind the cockpit, with the two outboard wings mounted parallel to the centre one. On launch, the outer wings rotate 135° to a position below the cockpit and 45° from vertical, and the centre wing pivots 180° about the rear of the cockpit to a vertical position directly below the cockpit. This is the configuration you see in the video. What is the advantage of this? The only thing I can think of is that it may slightly improve pilot visibility, but I don't see that that would be worth the performance hit that the extra weight of the wing folding mechanism must cause. The outer wings, maybe, but for the central wing, if it was permanently above and behind the cockpit as in the landed configuration, the pilot could just lean slightly to see past it on either side. Why have it under the cockpit in flight?
The physics of S-Foils (outside of the heat ventilation and expanding shields since the wiki explains that part) I speculate that some kind of EM drive or even artificial gravity hardware (or some other kind of equivalent for the both) are located in the S-Foils/Wings/whatever to help augment the said same devices that would also be located in the hull to allow the craft to maneuver without the need of additional thrusters and motion exchange discs/devices. And regular thrusters are still used as the main forward thrust because (under pure speculation and educated guessing) it provides better acceleration, top speed, and power
In a new hope they mention you cannot rely on your sensors because the TIE fighter can jam them. That would explain why the rebels never used missiles against TIE fighters
@@jamesricker3997 Proton missiles are not radar guided because that's not a thing in the star wars universe.. they most likely lock onto a Heat signature which cannot be jammed. It works the exact same way in real life, you can jam communications but you can't jam a heat signature except with a flare
S-Foils help with maneuvering in space because of the physics of maneuvering thrusters/repulsers. The more "wings" you have, the more thrusters/repulsers you can have pushing to allow the ship to spin. Think of it like more planes assisting roll. It also helps to have the wings longer because it is like putting the rolling devices further from the axis and also allowing more surface area for more thrusters/repulsers. Normally more wings would hinder you in atmosphere, but this is in space.
Could we see a three part/topic video: 1) About The Killiks VS the Trade Federation. 2) Dart Ships and Nest Ships VS Vulture droids and Lucrehulk-class battleship. 3) As well as Killik Troops VS Battle Droids if ether side tried boarding the other.

i remember playing through some older star wars games (rouge-squadron series) and tie fighters normally goes down from 2-4 laser blasts
A+ for the Golden Gun reference!
Providence class dreadnought versus Imperial StarDestroyer
B-Wing vs K-Wing. I'm interested in seeing how two heavy starfighters would duke it out.
The physics of S-Foils (outside of the heat ventilation and expanding shields since the wiki explains that part)
I speculate that some kind of EM drive or even artificial gravity hardware (or some other kind of equivalent for the both) are located in the S-Foils/Wings/whatever to help augment the said same devices that would also be located in the hull to allow the craft to maneuver without the need of additional thrusters and motion exchange discs/devices.
And regular thrusters are still used as the main forward thrust because (under pure speculation and educated guessing) it provides better acceleration, top speed, and power
Lol just realised Ur at 27k and I've been here since 3.5k it's good to see you growing
"The TIE Fighter would turn away from the missile and try to escape..." heh, seems like someone never played Star Wars: TIE Fighter before...
Kandosii Dreadnought vs Centurion Battlecruiser
S-Foils help with maneuvering in space because of the physics of maneuvering thrusters/repulsers. The more "wings" you have, the more thrusters/repulsers you can have pushing to allow the ship to spin. Think of it like more planes assisting roll. It also helps to have the wings longer because it is like putting the rolling devices further from the axis and also allowing more surface area for more thrusters/repulsers. Normally more wings would hinder you in atmosphere, but this is in space.
Dornean Gunship vs Raider Class Corvette, I will not rest until I am finally answered....
Could we see a three part/topic video:
1) About The Killiks VS the Trade Federation.
2) Dart Ships and Nest Ships VS Vulture droids and Lucrehulk-class battleship.
3) As well as Killik Troops VS Battle Droids if ether side tried boarding the other.
