    Just came across this video and the guy in the video 3:05 isn't lying. Power: Force (ex prod by 50 Cent) is a fire show. Can't wait for season 2!

      This show seems like a big deal. I love the cold color grade on the trailer: th-cam.com/video/Ivdy4VzQY_U/w-d-xo.html 🥶

      If it's not a real word it should be. Thanks so much! I'm glad you enjoy it. :)

    This is great. This is the first time I can see how far the photographer is from the subject with the 70-200 F4. Even at F4, Bokeh seems easy to obtain at the longer ends.

      @jamestheredd  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Oh good! I'm glad you enjoyed it! And yeah. The solid bokeh is one reason why I don't feel a need to grab the ƒ/2.8 version. Cheers! :)

    Not sure if this is the Sony FE 70-200mm f/4 G OSS, but if it is, wow you've convinced me even more of getting it! It's on sale right now for 800£ and 100£ cashback, but there is a 10% discount I got so I can get it for about 620... What do you think? (Brand New)

    • @jamestheredd
      @jamestheredd  8 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      That's the one! If this makes it easy, I think it's always worth it at full price as long as you're looking for a good zoom lens. So a sale is even better! :)

    hi james!, which one do you think is better for a beginner like me? the fuji xt200 or the sony a6000?

    • @jamestheredd
      @jamestheredd  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Both cameras seem to be not far from each other technically. I've heard that the xt200 handles low light very well while the a6000, not so much. The autofocus seems very solid on both. Of course, with Fuji you have those film simulations if you're into that. From my little bit of research, I would say it mainly comes down to ergonomics/aesthetics and which ecosystem you want to get into. You most likely won't lose either way. 😊🤙🏻

    hia James, great vid, not sure why you would choose a long lens for this city rather than another.

    • @jamestheredd
      @jamestheredd  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Richard! I chose it for this city because the layout of the city. There is a lot of opportunity with the above ground trains and with the openness around the Chicago River for utilizing a longer focal length. I felt like it would be a good choice. I also generally enjoy the look of a longer focal length. Cheers! 🤙🏻

    I have carried a 70-200mm f/4 lens all over the world. Love the quality and especially the form factor of the lens. BTW: an aftermarket black screw-in hood makes the lens a lot less conspicuous.

    • @jamestheredd
      @jamestheredd  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes! The look of that focal range is spectacular. It’s a very fun lens with a very manageable form factor. Nice hack with the hood! Do you find that having a hood makes a positive difference for your photos? I’ve always just left mine at home haha. Cheers!

    Amazing shots and I appreciate the explanation of street photography and how to put it all together. By far the best explanation. I’m just starting street photography. I’ll definitely be using some of your ideas tomorrow.

  • @Inspiratievideo1993

    How is the 70-200 F4 for the streets and landscape compared to the F2.8 version? so much doubt about this hahaha

      @jamestheredd  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Literally working on a video about this right now. Coming soon! 😁

      I suspect you'd want the f4 simply for weight. If you're walking around, the weight matters a lot more than one stop of light. And in street, I'm sure you don't need as much bokeh anyways.

    Am I the only one who finds it weird to hide behind cars and bars and use the long lens ?

    • @jamestheredd
      @jamestheredd  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Haha I know what you mean. I'm always willing to smile and explain that the car was meant to be a foreground element. 😊

      What's weird about it?

    • @MrJohnston123
      @MrJohnston123 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      actually it's not weird, the other sociopathic street photographers who get right up in the face of their subjects and therefore become part of the shot are the weird ones

    Sorting through 20 frames that are only a fraction of an inch different is beyond my patience level.

    • @yz249
      @yz249 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Could always set the camera to a lower burst speed.

    • @jamestheredd
      @jamestheredd  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Fair enough! I'm used to video as well so sorting through 20 frames is welcomed if it helps me get the shot. :)
