Just wanted to say thanks for this video. I'm sitting here with my brand LE and it is so helpful to be able to go through it step by step right along with you. Just wish it was a little higher quality. Hard to see some of the details with all the pixelation.
I delete that totally! Apollo makes a cap that replaces that adjustment screw. join my private Facebook group The Fine Finish Institute. I have a few videos there. the only reason you need that is if you don't have an adjustable turbine
Shane, I realize this is 3 yrs old, but wondered about needle/nozzle/cap sizes for BIN and Acrylic paint for cabinets (I have a Power 4 VS). You mention 1.3 with C HS cap for BIN. I have a 1.3 with a B cap but that doesn’t seem to work. Very faint and only when gun is facing down. Can the cap cause that much difference? Also is 1.8 or 2.0 with C hs best for acrylic or latex without thinning? Most paints don’t want to be thinned more than 10%.. Thx for your time..
first off, ditch the BIN and cheap paint for baseboards. I couldn't get the kind of finish I want with them. Plus sounds like your gun is dirty and not adjusted correctly
@@ShaneWoods I might like to use some better paint.. just a lot of factors at play.. Do you suggest Renner or something else? I do still need to use BIN on some other stuff. Pretty sure the gun was clean, tried whole range of adjustments, I get good airflow coming out, just no product.. Maybe the Apollo won’t push it at 9 psi through the 1.3 with no thinning, but since I get a faint pattern when the gun is facing down and nothing when it’s facing a wall, I’m a little confused..
@@brandonmitchell6264 I can promise if your gun was clean and put together right, it will spray. I wish I had more time today to wrap my head around how to get you going, but it's cray cray right now moving to the new studio
Thanks for the instructional video. I think I understand these better as a DIYer and woodworker. Why would I buy this vs an airless system. I know Eric was saying he had less issues with airless. My only experience is with a Graco handheld ultra and I hated the overspray, but the finish was very good when I sprayed everything flat. Trim and door jambs always seemed to get too much paint at the corners and some sags. Spent too much time cleaning up overspray and sanding out drips. Ended up painting all my trim with a brush. But I do like spraying doors flat. I was using California Paint Ultra aquaborne ceramic. Gives a very durable finish.
Thanks for the comment. I just posted a video explaining the difference between HVLP vs Airless. Please reach out if you have more questions. Thank you.
Just got the Apollo power 5 vs and your comment about the fat side of all the rings always going out on the gun was very helpful!
Thank you sooooo much Shane for this video. You just made my day. great information tutorial about Apollo 7700
That lid has been tricky ever since I got this gun. Can’t wait to try your trick later and get a good seal.

Was this video made in 2002 ?
it was a live video to help one of my students in a bind. The quality is low, but the info is good. Way to point that out though
Thought 1.3mm and 1.5mm goes with B cap and not with C??!
Couldn't watch the vid because the quality is so bad - 144p. Really?
It's also flipped left-right from the backside phone camera...
It was a Facebook live, keep scrolling
I had to check up upload date once the opening sequence began.
I thought it was going to be a 13 year old video due to the quality.
