Awaiting all the award gear mag reviews which I think it's going to do Fantastic ! I think it's going to be award winning or hopefully. Still needs to fix a few gui things like at 40:00 min and auto-gain oversampling etc.
i pitched this idea (musically intelligent EQ cutting out-of-key frequencies) to Kilohearts years ago and they were non-plussed. You guys did a much better job than they would have. MUCH BETTER. I'm so glad You created this. I always pitch ideas to plugin companies about 5 to 12 years before their time. LOL
Just grabbed it, threw it on a few recent tracks I finished mastering, and now have to master again as this is letting me pull a LOT more juice out it just on a final master.. This + Soothe 2 in various instances/layers + master and you're respecting the spectrum like a pro :). +1 PluginBoutique.
I downloaded the demo and put Scaler EQ over a techno drone, it was like night and day and gave such a musical result where before it was just noise across the whole spectrum. Was able to clean up and warm up rumble kicks, rides, snares. Very intuitive! Thanks for such an amazing plugin, I can't imagine ever not using it on a channel.
Purchased this on rent to own. It really is a brilliant bit of software. Tried it on a a few different songs and it's night and day. With Scaler EQ - bright, punchy, alive. Without - dull. That was using the Resonance presets.
b4 downloading the demo "do I need another eq?" after testing it... "yup, this thing just works!" this adds/cuts the harmonics I've been looking for and helps my drums fit in the mix more, spectacular job!!!
This is the way to do it. Have to admit, I first thought, "Who needs another EQ?" Then, of course, when I saw the demo, I should have known that Davide and the Scaler dev team would not have given us just another EQ. Surprised no one has thought of doing this before (the closest alternative I suppose being Surfer EQ but not the same and look how expensive that is). Scaler is one of, if not the best, Compositional Aid tools out there and all for an ultra reasonable price. It is under constant development and every iteration gives us worthwhile useful new features. I guess Scaler EQ will be no different. Well done Davide and the team.
Thanks David we appreciate the positive energy. We are always looking to improve Scaler 2 and Scaler EQ and we have a wonderful development and creative team full of positive energy too.
Hi.on 11:25 you demonstrate how the dynamics works. Well I am using scaler EQ with Cubase 13 pro and there is no graphics moving when Dynamics is engaged. What am I doing wrong, and how to fix that. Thanks
You know what would be great, rather than just an eq boost, but a saturation boost, then an eq cut, with all the same features. would be spectre plus would be a real game changer.
Hey, I got this and streamed an hour session this morning. Let me know if you want to share/watch the experience. This is basically a go-to plugin for me now.
Scaler EQ isn't showing up in my FL studio Plugin Scan, I didn't find it in the file path directory either. That said my FL is installed to run from an HDD how ever this has been an issue in the past pertaining to plugins which are installed in the file system directory to my knowledge. I'm running MacOS Sonoma 14.5 (Not silicon) Any idea why this may be the case and how I can get it sorted?
Hi, so I bought this straight away and so far I'm enjoying it. : ) One thing if I may: Boosting frequencies obviously boosts output, but I can't seem to find any auto-gain feature anywhere or even any output controls so I can level match? I've checked the manual, but still no luck. Please can you tell me if I'm missing something. : ) Kind regards, Darren (Wales, UK)
Well magic of course! We have a proprietary system but without giving too much away we are prioritising, mid or side or stereo depending upon whether you are cutting, boosting, using low shelf or using high shelf. That is, it's a different combination dependent upon what you are doing!
For me it's ok-ish, I will only be more excited if there is a way to change the key by automation, because if i make a track and switch from major to minor or change the whole key then i want the EQ to follow this, maybe i missed something in the video or it is really not included? it should be pretty simple: just make some preset buttons for selected scales in the track and then have these automation ready so it's possible to switch. or a pitch follower like in melda's MautodynamicEQ. I am trustfull there will be an update for this, Scaler also had many updates.
Automation coming. Please note that this EQ is also a traditional EQ and you can dial in your own notes and scale to accomodate. So it is useful in many ways. Thanks for using it and feedback.
@@scalermusicI think this would be good, especially for music like jazz (and music built with Scaler) where the tonal center might change every bar or so.
market this in NYC and London Berlin Amsterdam etc, Europe or all the Musical gear expo shows. If it gets 5 star reviews from Hi-Fi audio mags Computer Music Sound on Sound, etc. Guitar Center, Sweetwater etc
TBH in the Rap part it sounded very thin and weird. Basically just like it would sound when you EQ too much which is basically what it does. It seems to overdo by design. No one would use 10-20 notches on a lead vocal and if you do, it sounds exactly like in this video example. Thin, cheap. There sure are some scenarios where it’s useful but in this example it sounded very odd.
Fair enough Paul, I didn't think it was the greatest example either although I didn't feel it made it sound thin or cheap. FYI I am always using multiple notches on lead vocals, if anything requires notching its a vocals, particularly after saturating, pitching, dynamics not to mention standing waves from studio rooms! The higher profile the singer the more fancy stuff required!

So great to see the Scaler team expand into new ideas. A powerful musical tool in an easy to use interface. Affordable and accessible! Impressive
@41Fingers Thanks for your contributions to the Scaler world.

I bought it thanks to this video.

Can't wait for my next payday to get my hand on this.
very very cool stuff! greetz from amsterdam!

Hi Johnny, that's exactly how I feel! Glad you are using it and enjoying it.

Instantly bought this, sounds amazing. It however needs an output gain. There’s no way of gain staging 👎
Input and Output? And maybe a nice limiter? I agree totally. Already on the roadmap 👍
There are plugin developers and then, there's Davide Carbone.
whose Davide Carbone?
Game Changer. Scaler does it again.
The 1k-2khz attenuation is so good, that removal part of the 'hurt'. A true pleasant 'smiley curve' ala 37- 38:00 min

Love it! Scaler is on all my projects and just when I thought I knew what I can do with an EQ Scaler changes the game again
Really good
This looks great. I've just purchased it, I can't wait to see what it does for colour bass sound design
Love it!

What's the latency Kenneth?

It pretty much made better anything I threw at it in an already existing mix.
Let's go scaler

How much is Scalar EQ---is it a free download for owners of Scalar 2
God I hope this is true.. Removing the individual frequency? Wild ..
👍🏾❤🔥

Hey Darren, will come in an update. Got some nice treats for you in our next major update.
Could you do a Mixing and Mastering with ScalerEQ. Thanks 🎉
absolutely - JC
I'm unable to listen to the difference when using the filters in a few cases
What about the give away??
What is this “magic shelf” doing?
Well magic of course! We have a proprietary system but without giving too much away we are prioritising, mid or side or stereo depending upon whether you are cutting, boosting, using low shelf or using high shelf. That is, it's a different combination dependent upon what you are doing!

Can I get a copy PLEEEEASE. I've already Buyed scaler 1 and 2.

Downloaded the trial version… works really well!
My only issue at the moment is background noise sweep whenever the plug in is engaged…😳
That is the trial version being a trial. Once you've purchased a copy, that will go away. :)_ _ JC
why not duck the music while you are talking!!😊😊 also you may show little bit slower your mouse novement!!!😊 so we can follow...😊😊
Primer comentario... hay premio? jejeje

After I buy it you should delete this video and the product from the store and we'll keep it our little secret.
Hope You bring Scaler EQ to iOS soon!
We will 🙂
