Just south of San Francisco and to the east of San Jose, Big Basin State Park is one of the nearest Redwood reserves to the City. Known by the Ohlone people as "The Food Basket", It's been a source of peaceful reflection for more than 10,000 years.
The hiking trails are mostly moderate in difficulty, and will take you through some of the most breathtaking forest country you'll ever experience. These inhabitants of California's Coastal Range are the among the largest, and oldest trees on Earth.
