I try to not consider the years spent coming to these realization as wasted, because having those experiences (even if there's a lot of crap in it) are what help us realize just what we need to live childlike lives. It took persistence to survive it this long, and now you know what you truly need to make the upcoming years ones worth looking forward to. And you can only hope that you'll come across more people like you, ones learning to be childlike again. I think that hope is worth holding onto.

Damn man, I recently turned 27, and I came to the same conclusions not so long ago. After doubling my salary, I realized that more money and a better car will never make me happy, if they're earned doing something I don't want to be doing, in a place where I don't want to be. I then asked myself what made me feel alive and happy as a kid, and I slowly tried to let in those things back into my life. Nothing has been more healing than this. It took me away from the greyness of a material and efficiency focused life, to the colorful pursuit of true happiness and fulfilment. It is definitely a long and arduous process, but I too will not go back. You're so right dude, keep going 👍

This is soo good man, I just turned 21 recently and since entering the school system I have been nothing but stressed. All the expectations to be an adult to be more mature, to get better grades, to work a dreadful 9-5 was to much and at 16 I finally snapped and dropped out of high school during the start of the plague. I still had the crushing expectations from myself and family members so I ended up getting my GED and stayed isolated playing games to cope with not being an "adult". Yeah bills do need to be payed, and yeah it is important to start saving early, but I'm 21 and I wanna have real fun for once in my life. So I started focusing on myself, not just the basic things, like working out/mental health but also finding out my own style of clothing/music, learning how to snowboard, working on old cars going places and doing things I want to do simply because I want to do them not because someone told me to. It's like I actually have freedom for once in my life. My current goal, is to do the hardest thing a young man can do, ask a cute girl on a date. I may end up being an adult someday but I'm gonna at the very least enjoy my 20s. Thank you for making this video.

A huge part of this problem is today’s young adults don’t have a chance to “adult”. All the things that come with being an adult like buying a house, being in a happy relationship, having savings and property, are almost unattainable for today’s up and coming adults. Houses cost way too much money, relationships don’t mean anything because you can just go on an app and find someone else, we have no assets and future plan of obtaining assets because we all get paid so low in a market so high. America is not going to last another 50 years at this rate. Stay strong brother just live your life

Imagine the horror of realizing this AS A KID and then being pulled (unwillingly) into adulthood. That was my experience. The saddest part was that it was like a war of attrition and as it went on I saw most of my friends succumb to trading their youth for the cheap prize of respect you get from other 'adults' for letting it go. It's true, misery loves company.

Children can be creative and not see obstacles, while adults can use experience to navigate obstacles. The best part about growing up is that you can use your experience to see obstacles and navigate them to be creative. I'm happy I have my experiences to help facilitate my creative self, and I hope my inner child can remind me to let myself be creative more instead of *focusing on navigating *only* the least difficult, thus least creative, obstacles.

I think you have shifted my perspective about life a little bit but I’ma tell you that if you have a child like mind as an adult people never take you seriously they might think your fun but in a cutely stupid way take it from me I became more successful when I turned 30 because that’s when I told myself it doesn’t really matter what I am or who I am people only care if your famous or your hurt so who cares if I decided that it’s time to boss up or start being cutesy and bright I can chose both. I am doing a lot better so my advice for you is don’t tripe over a dollar trying to pick up a dime

Hello! I'm not sure I have Ang right to say this hence I'm only 17. And I don't care if I'm too late because this goes for all of you. You can't change the past. You can cry, you can get angry, be confused, heck even be depressed! but, do you really think that death is the only way you can find peace? There are so many places both YOU and ME haven't seen so many people put there that struggle people out there waiting for an extra buddy. I'm not sure what you are going through right now and I'd be a clown to say I understand but death isn't the option. And say you DO take you're life, what's next? Do you think that you'll be given another human life when you purposely got rid of yours? MOST likely not. I'm sorry if this is harsh but be lucky you are a healthy human right now. Because if you die you might not get that chance again. You might be a fly or even komodo dragon who's mother tries to eat it the instant it hatches. an abused dog, a pained show cat there are so many worse thing who be than lost Because respect fully? That's what you are. I'm not trying to brush off your struggles because those are some real struggles. But please? You still have 40+ years of your life left and you could use those years to become something you like! An actor, artist, dog or cat watcher? A barista, a chef, there are so many ways! And maybe go to an anime con? I'm not old enough because AGAIN 17 but in a year I'll be able to! If not for you then please do it for all the kids watching? Please? If you really are gonna end it all, try two years? Explore the world and be that child who is still in there.just waiting to be let out the moment they are able to see the northern lights! Or the worlds HIGHEST rollercoaster! You can't go back but even in the darkest cave, there's always gotta be an exit that doesn't leave to a hungry mother bear with 6+ children. I'm not sure if you are still here in a year but expect me to comment on another video when I finally get to go to a anime con! I'm a year, and I HOPE that you can comment that you went to the worlds largest rollercoaster? I love you, and I hope you get a wife soon because you're not even bad looking!

People who aren't "childlike" in the way you describe clearly lack integration with their anima (feminine) personality. Think about when you are with a person who is a joy to be around, you probably think of them as animated. Root word anima. Anima governs the "feminine" personality traits which include creativity, emotional sensitivity, and cognition of the unconscious (intuition). Unfortunately this is trained out of many people (especially men) during their teenage years.

Related: Saying 37 of the so-called "Gospel" of Thomas, the ORIGINAL sayings of "Jesus" (the corresponding ligature) as written by his brother, plagiarized by financial oligarchs of the Roman Empire to create a fake religion "Christianity" to prevent Chrestianity from rising:
His disciples said, "It is on what day that you will manifest forth to us and it is on what day that we will see you?" Jesus said, "Whenever you strip yourselves naked of your shame and you take your garments and you put them under your feet like little young children and you trample on them, then you will see the son of him who is living and you will not fear."
    [This is Koepke's translation.]
