I decided to forego any kind of planning or scripting and just talk totally off the cuff. I ended up rambling a lot more than I would've liked, but I actually really enjoyed making this compared to having to do so much pre-work, I'd definitely like to do more things like this (except maybe get a little better at staying on-topic and making my point clear, haha!) I wasn't around for that old youtube, but I grew up seeing people from that era slowly be replaced by boring slop. In the past few years, I've increasingly found myself asking "why am I watching this?" and turning off my phone because all the beautiful, wonderful creative expression that happens on this website gets drowned out by a sea of grifters producing fast-paced nonsense to designed to make your eyes glaze over and turn your brain to mush. I hate that youtube wants to be profitable, I wish videos couldn't be monetized and taking a sponsorship was decried as selling out. Great video and an excellent message
