These “reactions” to preseason matches need to be taken with a huge grain of salt. Between all the academy players, fringe squad players, massive number of substitutions, preseason fitness levels, poor pitches, etc there really is not much of a reason to put much weight into these results. The real matches start in 3 weeks. Judge and evaluate then.

Well said it takes great effort, skill and training, to make football look simple and beat a so called top premier league team. Shaka is disrespecting Scottish football by blaming Chelsea for being so bad rather than giving Celtic any credit. The Celtic strikers were sharper and more clinical, more intelligent in finding space and loosing their markers, they also passed the ball better.

Yep couldn't agree more, many top footballers that come to Parkhead have praised the crowd, the stadium, and the quality of football we play, yet the Media in England predominantly dismiss the quality of football Celtic can produce, especially against top England sides. There are some good pundits and there are some arrogant dismissive pundits that lack humility. I think Shaka has a lot to learn and could improve on his social skills.

I feel like Chelsea are still hurt from the Kepa deal. They spent all that money thinking they were getting one of the best young GKs yet it turned out to be a horrible deal so now they’re spending cheap on them with people like Mendy, Sanchez, Petrovic, and now Jorgensen to see if any of them will hit and turn into a world class keeper but I still think they should get Diogo Costa. He looks like he fits a Chelsea kit and I can see him being one of the best itw but he needs a better platform playing for a big team. These cheap keepers they keep buying are temporary fixes but every top team needs a top level keeper so it isn’t a position they should neglect

Also, the form only lasted about 2 seasons before he started doing mistakes all the time. I do think at his peak, he was the best keeper post Courtois for Chelsea but that isn't a hard honor to achieve...

A mistake alot of coaches make is you don't try to teach how you want to play with players you didn't pay for at least he should have sign half of the team before he can bring it what he wants but if you meet a team you simply just play the system best for the type of players you have when you do 1 or 3 transfer you can then play how you want your team to play cause not ever player is able to play from the back UT will cost his job

If Chelsea is unable to reach the top 4 in the Premier League for the 24/25 and 25/26 seasons and fails to qualify for the Champions League, they might consider selling the remaining UEFA Champions League winners left, James and Chilwell, along with some inconsistent players in the team.

I’m not saying that they should be playing like a bunch of bums against a team like Celtic, but at the end of the day, preseason games don’t really matter. It’s true that Chelsea are likely to have another season of misery and for their new manager Enzo Maresca, him being on a 5 year contract means that he’ll be at the club for less than a year and obviously from their perspective since they’re going into next season with another manager, they want to have some confidence and momentum and the players have to adapt him as well since that’s the part of why it’s important to have a good preseason as that’s an indication for what a team or a player will look like in a season, but we shouldn’t overreact after a team drops a stinker in a preseason game and in a summer where all these players represented their national teams at the EUROs or Copa America and their countries got very deep in these respective tournaments, they’re not going to come back from their break until the beginning of August and before the first game of the season where they might be short of full fitness. I’m not trying to act like Chelsea are going to be some world class team again because it’s going to take some time for them to get back to being a proper football club, I couldn’t care less if they lose 4-1 to a team like Celtic because as concerning as it is, let’s criticize them if that happens when the season starts and they have their full strength squad.
