      @Maniac 5000 Hello, Thank you for commenting on my post 🤙
      Your comment is awesome! I'm imagining thousands of Great Whites on all coasts breaching the water at 35-40 mph and attacking swimmers, surfers, etc. Thats a horrific vision. But, your words ring true to my beliefs.
      I've been interested in sharks since a child, read many books. Have done my own independent research for years.. (No university degree). However, one interesting fact that I've noticed in my studies on attacks is a shark's food source whether it be mullet, seals, bait fish, etc.. The one main reason for attacks is because unknowing swimmers and/or surfers are paddling around the sharks main food sources.
      For instance, the recent man (God be with his family) who was attacked in New South Whales recently was swimming close to an inlet where schools of mullet where swimming out of and into the open waters where these friends were surfing.. If they knew this truth and were aware of the dangers I'm sure they wouldn't have surfed that day in that location.
      Unfortunately, a Great White's bite (even a single bite) can be life threatening because of the bite radius and point of target. Swimmers and surfers bleed out from the damage one bite could cause.
      You may add my video/s to your playlist if you'd like. The music in my videos are holding a professional music copyright authorization license, with copyright ID permissions. The music is only to be used on my TH-cam channel. But, as long as you just share the direct video link from my channel and just share it to a playlist I'm sure it'll be ok and no copyright claims or strikes will hit your channel. I just want you to be aware of the content ID license as well before adding to playlists. I'm not sure how that all works?? Thanks for watching!

    Once again Joey you nailed it! Keep up the fabulous work. Do you wear a GoPro while you’re walking into the water and or on your board? Capture these big guys close to you. Bravo !! :)

      Hey! Thank you so much. I have no thoughts on stopping TH-cam 🤙 As for your GoPro question. Yes, I use a mouth mount with a GoPro attached that i bite down on. It's a really cool mount and helps gives the camera a good POV. I used to have a mount attached to my surfboard but, I didn't like to view point from that perspective.. I mean, It can be cool for certain angles and shots.. However, I don't like the mount begin attached to my surfboard. lol
      I always try to capture the sharks from my surfboard but sometimes they swim away so fast.

    I'd love to see more videos like this. I moved to Florida a few years ago and recently decided to learn how to surf, and this is nice to see. I'm fascinated by sharks, but understand there's a risk, albeit small. But the beauty of the ocean is not something I'm going miss out on because of a little fear. Still eases my mind to see this though.

    As for title I might change the wording to state Not ALL sharks are man eaters ;)

    • @joeypaesano
      @joeypaesano  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Funny that you say that. That was my 1st title attempt "Not ALL Sharks Are Man-Eaters". But, I use a SEO (search engine optimization) tool when creating my titles and keywords and that title didn't rank well (3 out of 100 ranking). Since TH-cam is a search engine the best title for the video in order to get a higher SEO ranking was "Sharks Aren't Man-Eaters". I tried to give my honest thoughts in the description so everyone would understand my intent, though. But I do understand what you mean. 🤙

      We have a very small percentage of Great Whites that make their way to our area.. so the threat of death isn’t as high risk as other locations like Australia, Africa, Cali.
      But we do have a dense population of Bull Sharks which are really aggressive. But overall as seen in the video.. most just ignore us.

      @@joeypaesano Yea the great whites come from Guatemala or something and they come to the channel islands cause theyre is alot of seals

    • @joeypaesano
      @joeypaesano  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Wickedsensations2001 Here in Florida, we don't have a seal population. I'm thankful for that. besides our waters are warm here. We do get Great Whites but they like to stay a couple of miles off shore and never like to come in close.
      However, I had a couple of friends I surf with say that they spotted a Great white close to shore about a year ago. But, there was no proof. Just their word.
      There has been fishermen who filmed Great Whites off the Florida shores, but they were fishing a few miles out on boats.
      As many times as I've flown my drone I've never captured footage of a Great White (although I do look for them). Sometimes I'll push my drone out a few miles from shore to see if I can see whales and bigger sharks.. I'm hoping I'll be able to get footage someday.

    A dude just got nailed yesterday by a white down nsw
    But lots of sharks dont hunt humans its just unfortunate that the ones that do live in Australia all of them lol
    Ps Rip to the dude that got nailed by the grate white

      That is horrible news. Did he survive? It is unfortunate, A Great Whites "exploratory" bite is and can be fatal. I read a lot of accounts where the White shark will bite a human and realize that it's not it's food... however, the bite if in the right part of the body will spell an unfortunate demise.
      I love Australia! I've dreamt of traveling there for years and exploring the Gold Coast, NSW and Melbourne areas. I definitely want to surf Bells Beach!
      The thought always comes to mind.. Even though I live in the shark bite capital of the world, I'm much more fearful of a dense population of White sharks than I am of our Bulls, Hammer heads, Black Tips and Tigers in which we see here on the east coast of Florida.

      @@riverbullshark That's such sad news. I was just reading a few news articles and watching some news clips about it. They're saying the Great White was about 15 ft (4.5m) and it took his upper thigh.. You'll definitely bleed out from that amount of damage. The Australian news was also reporting that these surfers were surfing next to an inlet where schools of mullet were swimming out from and into the ocean (where these surfers were). If I see school of mullet running close to shore its sure bet that sharks will be feeding.. Here in Florida our sharks bite but, the bites are never life threatening (mostly) and if a Great White is spotted it's usually a few miles out at sea and never close to shore. Australia However... You're dealing with a far bigger population of Great Whites and one bite can be lethal. Thanks for the comment 🤙
