Thank you, 5argeTech /\! Yes, lots of incredible stuff there... the good thing is that - given some time - the prices will go down - and these days between ebay, Craigslist, Reverb and all the online stores, it's easy to get 'em... ;)
Thank you, dos gos! Just messing with some modular sounds, I'm doing a new song with a fantastic singer at the moment, and we are revisiting the "Aquarium in deep space" jam with his voice and lyrics, will be a cool piece once it's done!
can't understand why people are so shit ass crazy about old Moogs when something like this is available brand new for 1/10 the price. I know moldy old stuff has a certain mojo, but geez this thing sounds fantastic.
The only preamp they are going through, are the preamps from the Soundcraft 1600 mixer - I don't have much in terms of external filters and preamps at the moment..
So you are mixing the drumming of the DR-110 (audio) with the audio output of your 3 oscillator patch..... and just using the output trigger of the DR-110 to sync the sequencer in the synthesizers.com rig ? ... your 3 oscillators are getting their pitch CV from the sequencer in the rig..... and the EG's are being driven by the sequencer also ? ...... the sounds you are modifying are coming from the synthesizers.com and the background beat sounds from the DR-110..... it would be great if you would share your patch setups with your viewers like I do, but it's just a suggestion...... thanks for the vid !
Tbh, while I bought a couple of his albums back in the day, I never got into it - I guess my influences stem more from the '70s, '80s, and early '90s european and american techno
I can listen to this kind of music for hours and i don't know why.
Thank you, Frank, it's a bit hypnotic , perhaps
:-) :-)
I keep waiting for this to burst into the Doctor Who Theme Tune
That is so CooL and groovy at the same time.
Awesome jam. That modular and the Doctor sounds oh so good.
Thank you, Shots fired_10-11! Yes, they sound together, and it's cool that the little DR-110 can trigger the dotcom very well
Thanks for taking us along to NAMM. Saw some incredible stuff I could never afford.. Nice to dream though....

Wow - very futuristic! You are getting some sounds that are raw & smooth at the same time. Simple & complex.
Thank you, dos gos! Just messing with some modular sounds, I'm doing a new song with a fantastic singer at the moment, and we are revisiting the "Aquarium in deep space" jam with his voice and lyrics, will be a cool piece once it's done!
Looking forward to this Paolo - uber inspiring!
All hail Dr Rhythm! Neat idea to still find him useful after so many years. Thanks also for the NAMM vids Paolo.
Thank you, phlattgetit! And glad the NAMM vids were helpful!
I love the sound of this Synth..it sounds so Retro and analogue
Thank you, Adibarum!
Old school elektro a la _Kraftwerk_ . Love it. The uber cheap DR-110 goes together very well w/ the uber expensive modular synth.
I had a DR-110 at one point, but I always forget I did until I see someone using one. ;-)
Sounds like 90s front line assembly.
Ah, yes, the sequencer "vibe" can remind of that
I have a DR-110 in the loft somewhere... I'm going to dig it out now :) Terrific sound from the synth!
Thank you, CordFluke, I want to get a DR-55 fairly soon too, as it was used by a lot of acts of the early '80s that I like
Wery cool, raw and unpolished Sound, 👍
Paulo, could you do a tutorial on "The first Rebirth - by Jones&Stephenson? Those are amazing beats and many layers of crazy synths.
The best part of this video is between 0:00 and 5:34!
Right now watching this for the 1024th time
OMG this is way overkill for the good doctor, but it sounds amazing!
Great sound!!!!!
Thank you, raider nation!
Pure Fun! Thank you. Put a little Toy on THE Master of Analog Heaven! 💭🎼👍
Wayyyy too kind, I just like to mess around with the equipment - thank you!
Sounds cool!
Thank you, Ben!
amazing set-up. cool Riff. Didn't know you had a modular Synth set-up. Did you put together this system yourself?
can't understand why people are so shit ass crazy about old Moogs when something like this is available brand new for 1/10 the price. I know moldy old stuff has a certain mojo, but geez this thing sounds fantastic.
Really spacey! Love the filter. How did you sync the drum machine to the synths.com?
Thanks! Very easy, just a 1/8" to 1/4" adapter cable from the drum machine to the dotcom sequencer
i noticed some additional gritt from the dr110,are you processing the drums thru some filter or pre amp?
The only preamp they are going through, are the preamps from the Soundcraft 1600 mixer - I don't have much in terms of external filters and preamps at the moment..
it sounds sweet :) thank you for the info and keep this greats works!
Very Nice
Thank you, Joseph
Have ever listened to Logic System?
Is that the System 66 from Synthesizers.com?
It's supposed to be a Studio-88, but I haven't gotten the dual sequencers cabinet for it, yet.

Unfortunately I didn't jot down the settings here, but yes, I'm using the DR-110 trig out to sync the modular's sequencer
@@SynthManiaDotCom Could I sync the DR-110 to my Werkstatt 01 in a similar fashion?
I love this one.
I want the boss ☺️
Good stuff! :-)
John, thank you!
You just earned a flask of vodka, helped me to put my 1yo son to sleep : ) Give me the adress for postage :P
Great sound, very minimal. Check out my compact modular !
Nasty.
Ha - yes, the dotcom can sound from soft to nasty and everywhere in between ;)
Nice, Paolo! Really fat.
I know, man. I really need to hit the gym :-D It was so nice to get to meet you at NAMM!
SynthMania Haha :) The same, really nice to meet you!
it's not fat, it's just "curvy." don't be synth shaming or I'll get on twitter and "clap back!"
ow..
?
bit aphextwinny
Tbh, while I bought a couple of his albums back in the day, I never got into it - I guess my influences stem more from the '70s, '80s, and early '90s european and american techno
What the heck is this thing?
