Listening to him talking about how the yacht master rose gold on the oysterflex would not be anyone's first pick made me question myself if I am a little crazy. Before I owned a single Rolex, heck before I was even into watches at all, I remember driving by a billboard ad of the 116655 when it first launched and I was thinking to myself 'damn that's a good looking watch'. Til today I still pause to admire it each time it stumbles onto my line of sight. In my unpopular opinion it's way more appealing than the sub or daytona. I still aim to hopefully have one on my wrist one day.
2017, I went to my AD and bought the Everose Yachtie new. The OysterFlex completely changes the watch as does that beautiful bezel. The OysterFlex, which contains Titanium to keep its shape, is the best non metal bracelet for comfort. I’ve worn my Yachtie to the beach, with a Tux and everything in between. Just collected the 126655 YM40 Everose today. Waited for a year and a half. Specifically order the YM and man... the real watch looks so much better than videos or photos... I'll chose this over the daytona anytime. U r right about one thing, once u go rose gold u never will go steel. Its sporty + luxury. Under a tux or casual with a pair of jeans and a white t, it'll stand out.
Nice watch. The stainless Daytona is insane in the aftermarket world. This is why I just purchased a white gold Daytona with silver dial from my AD. At $30k it’s a steal and much better watch with the heft of gold. The oyster flex is so comfortable and btw Rolex calls it a bracelet because it’s a thin titanium band coated by rubber.

Congratulations & blessings on the growth of your family. Out of curiosity was the Everose YM sourced via AD or gray? While it's not as popular as a Daytona, it's still hard to come by brand new, with box & papers/card, in the US without a huge premium.
I would have preferred a rose gold bezel with all that rubber. I feel short changed paying for rose gold price where there is more rubber than precious metal. Just my opinion.
