I recognize Xenie from the film “Low and Clear”, one of my favorite indie films ever. Got a chuckle seeing him Spey /swinging after the great back and forth over ‘nymphing’ vs ‘swinging’ in that film (which I loved). I couldn’t quite tell if this video was serious or slight parody (ala Hank Patterson). Either way it was entertaining, and glad to see Xenie still doing his thing (he’s a fishing film superstar in my mind).
An opthalmologist will say that you don't want to know the types of eye injuries from hooks. Its a good thing it was just his face... Always wear eye protection.
Nice video Mark 🎣 👍. I live in B.C 🇨🇦, a 5 minute to the Mighty Frazer River/ Stave river. Catching all species of salmon / trout not 4getting Sturgeon 🤣🤪😃
That guide did a good job not punching that dude in the face when he said, "I gotta guide somebody in a few days so I gotta remember everything we do!"
Mark you are a boner. You are what we guides call a professional client. Letting that fish run under the log by dropping the tip a giving all that slack to the fish was top notch expert move. I hope you tip big.
more like a 2 out of 10, seemed like another client, but one of those guys with no skill trying to be a know it all big shot. i loved how gill pointed out what a real guide actually does.
I'm glad yo see that you were transparent in showing your "Review" from your mentor. Good on ya.
Boots! When I forget my wading boots, I slap my running shoes over my neoprene socks, and carry on with the fishing day!!!!

Mark’s new name is Danger, like the guy from Million Dollar Baby. 😆😂🤣

I feel for Gill and I'm sure this probably isn't even the worst guy he has guided.
No you should see the guys we get on the Skeena it’s ridiculous i used to work at the tackle shop
Spey casting is not easy. Fun but not easy.

Excellent work sir Thank you!!!
Fishing with Xenie. Good man.
Really enjoyed this style of video. As always, nice job Mark and you are blessed to fish these locations
Get a wader taco bag mark! I put both my waders and My boots in it.

It is Spey Casting, as in the River Spey in Scotland.

I’m so confused why Mark is guiding Xenie. He’s a steelhead wizard
Ask Alex. He will be glad to let you know.
