      @@vi14753You just found out F1 is unfair?
      I don't mean this in a critical way. But F1 is not a sport, at least not the way most people perceive it, it's not soccer or volleyball. It's a golden club of 20 most fortunate people in the world, who were born in the right place at the right time and all the stars aligned for them to be there. Stroll happened to be born where he was and that predetermined him to be in the F1, that's all he had to do and therefore he has right to be there, and I'm far from being his fan. We can criticize, but it's absolutely futile and goes against the basic principles of F1.

      Except that's not strictly true. He took over from an older, accomplished driver, a world champion nearing the end of his career. Now he's forced to make room for even more accomplished multiple world champion 3 years older than Vettel and 10 years older than him... because said accomplished driver stalls at his current team and has a whim to put on some red overalls before he retires. It's the other way round.

    • @milkshakemuncher
      @milkshakemuncher 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +40

      @@kakhakthe fact that you and others believe Carlos is overrated is evidence that he's underrated.
      In his first year of F1, he and Max were teammates at Toro Rosso. Carlos was driving better than Max.
      Max was promoted to Redbull because Jos demanded it or he'd take Max out of their driver line-up and farm him out to another team.
      Max also had more potential as he matured, so Redbull put him in the main team and let him mature while in there.
      If it were on merit at that time, Carlos would have gotten the drive.
      He's very very close to Leclerc in qualifying lap times and the only non Redbull driver to win a race in 2023.

Does it help them in a longer term as he's obviously in the twilight years and does it perhaps put even more pressure on the team - in a team that creates its own high pressure out of thin air every year. And if they concentrated on getting the engineering right, they had a driver line-up that would have been able to deliver anyway. Is Hamilton going to be enough to plug that gap? @@Hamilton8timeChampion thahahaaa. We will see about that. Charles has a very hardcore crew behind him. This time Lewis won't have an entire team tailored to his wishes. Prime Lewis was better than Carlos, but not by much. I give Lewis absolutely zero chance against Charles. It will be a slaughterfest against a Charles who will be almost at his peak. He has no business at Ferrari. Btw, Lewis can be happy to be called a seven times WDC. Should've been six

Lewis is a 7 time champion as he won 2008, 2014, 2015, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020. 4. But, when a 7-time champion is available, Ferrari had no choice but to snap him up.
    I hope to see Carlos succeed at another top team. He would actually be a great fit at Red Bull but that team seems to be clogged up with Perez and Danny Ricc.

      He doesn't have what it takes to be a champ. He has the raw pace no doubt but not much else. He cracks under pressure, he can't dictate terms to the team and he can't come up with strategy to help his own case. He sulks and agrees with whatever bs the team offers. Unless everything lines up perfectly, I don't see him ever becoming a champion.
