I confess to being obsessed with this show. The storytelling, music, acting, scene settings? 9.999 out of 10. The obvious comfort between Jacob and Sam makes this series possible! As a reader I know the story and love the changes that have been made! Enjoying your videos as I'm also a new comer to the series.
@@birdcallsreaction I re-watch episodes of the show damned near daily just for the charisma both actors just exude and how their individual charisma is just fluid and passes from one to the other. It's fascinating.
I always talk about how much I wish I could go back and watch some shows for the first time again, so I totally get it. We're making sure to avoid any landmines, so far so good and everyone has been so thoughtful!
9:49 Louis truly is an interesting character and the more you watch him the more interesting he becomes. I can't wait for y'all to discover him some more. As usual lovely reaction!
Well, they were probably all from the same unit or whatever, and the military was segregated at that time. It wouldn't make sense that there would be black and white soldiers in the same unit partying together.
Everyone in this show is PEAK dramatic, including Daniel lmao 🤣 Louis and Lestat have so many unresolved issues that predated their relationship and it’s not getting better lol Louis is depressed and ashamed. Pre-vampirism he was ashamed of being gay and being a pimp. He probably wasn’t ashamed of being black/creole, but he was definitely ashamed of what it meant for his social status and how society would treat him. He was raised Catholic and even if he wasn’t practicing, he damn sure is dealing with hella Catholic guilt. Post-vampirism, he still has all that PLUS slowly losing his family, coming to terms with being in a relationship with Lestat, feeling that loss of control from being a vampire and struggling with bloodlust and his own sense of morality over killing humans. He’s overly attached to his humanity because it’s the only thing he has control over. And that attachement drives him even further away from Lestat who’s fully given himself over. Lestat is immensely lonely and probably bipolar. Possible narcissist too but that’s up for debate. He LOVES Louis and is obsessed with him, but he’s gotta deal with the fact that Louis is NOT responding to vampirism the way he expected or hoped he would. Lestat is so free with himself and his emotions and choices, he can’t comprehend WHY Louis holds himself back the way he does. And it makes him angry. Then they’re in a cycle of constantly hurting each other but staying together bc of the love.
I am trying to be really mature and not ask you the questions that are rolling around in my brain now because I don't want spoilers... I cannot wait to see how things progress with these two!
"They both have a mean streak." They know how to hurt each other." Nailed it!😆
"I know this couple. I don't hang out with them anymore."🤣
And obviously I'm lying because we'll be hanging out again in a few days. I am fully part of the problem.
Lmao Loustat definitely gives drama if it doesn’t give anything else 😂
I LOVE that you said that Louis is dramatic bc he is and you haven't even watched season two yet LOL!
HA, so what you're saying is that I need to get my mind right for even more drama....
