There is an option in TOOLS-OPTION-INFRASTRUCTURE-GENERATIVE SHAPE DESIGN node....where you can set your desired merging distance so there is no need to set it every time when you use join...... this video is very helpful ...i have no idea about how to remove the surface defects before it ...THNK YOU.

If you do these things to the A-surface you will not be a long lasting engineer. A big NONO to touch A-styling and make your own surfaces...
