You are the Henry Ford of quilt making. You are your own assembly line. I’ve picked up so many skills in this one vlog. I really hope the recipients of your gifts are appreciative. This is definitely one where the box is better than what may be inside. Well done! And thank you.
This is amazing- Talk about patience and design ; a lot goes into making this little bag . Besides having a particular set of sewing skills ; you will definitely need patience patience and more patience so I applaud you . your wonderful and thanks for sharing your knowledge .
I like it that your Bernina machine is very 'polite', it lifts up its foot every time your fingers come near it. LOL. My machine doesn't do that. And it cuts the thread near the needle too so you don't have too much waste and lint of thread all over.
This is an ADORABLE project. Minki, I am such a fan of your work. I made one right away and love it. Although I'm not always good at getting my patched pieces sewn straight, but that doesn't impact the final product too much. My finished project is much bigger, using 2" square pieces. I am guessing that your sample, in the video, used smaller fabric pieces like 1" or 1 1/2" pieces.
Thanks! I am working on a second bag with 1 1/2 inch squares. I love it. I also want to say I love your book SEW Illustrated. I purchased it and there are so many charming projects I want yo try.
My current machine is Bernina B570. My first machine was Brother home sewing machine and I made so many bags and pouches with it. I used 80 needle but you can change to 90 to sew through the bulky part.
Ridiculuos! I am going to have breakfast now and think about how i need to buy a better sewing machine, a better set of skills for myself and a therapy for frustration!
I love watching you sew! But I am wondering why you sew a few stitches, then lift the presser foot and move the fabric to the beginning. Thanks in advance.
espetacular la maquina de coser, pero me gustaria saber que medidas tienen los cuadraditos, o es a eleccion de cada uno? te saludo desde Argentina cordoba
What is the advantage of ironing the seams this way, as opposed to ironing example the seams of the first row towards the right and the next row towards the left? I am a beginner trying to understand 😊. Thank you!
@@MinkiKim Thanks so much for the quick reply. I want to learn the best methods and was figuring you would have a technical explanation as to why this way is better. I am following your method, your work is superb❤👏.
Thank you... tis looks like its so easy to follow and make one... i will.. may i ask what machine you are using?...the sewing needs not much handhandeling with that.... perfect for my old hands... the one i got now is as old as i am....its working... but ist a lot of things to do befor i will get that far ....
What material is the felt mat, ylu do the ironing on? Such a small place to iron besides the sewing machine is so much better than the big ironing board setup I work with, at the moment.
Omg, it's sooo cute🤩 And ur instructions r wonderful. Thank u! I've never made anything with a zipper. How does the needle not break when u sew over it? 🧐
Hi, I am making the box pouch and have a question. The pattern shows 2 rows for the bottom of the bag but in the video you have 4 rows for the bottom. What am I missing?
Ok, so i bought the PDF pattern. But when i downloaded it, i see that the pattern is NOT for the cube pouch in the video, but for a similar but slimmer one. I want the cube one. 🥺
Putting your blocks into piles from the rows and then sewing them in the right sequence just confuses my brain. I’ve tried and tried and still mix them up. Any one can help me solve this
WOW! What an easy way to install a zipper AND you used a walking foot to do it!!! Covered seams without a lining. BEST box video yet. THANK YOU!
