This was straight up made for me. Started playing War Thunder regularly last week, then I found you here on TH-cam, I unlocked the F-82 last night in my last match of the night , and you drop this banger video right before I go to play my first match in it. This was a wild set of events and I'm not sure if I want to look out my window now.
Cool! Actually comparing schematics (or model kits even), the fuselages were a little different from a P-51. My Dad was the pilot of the F-82G "Mid Night Sinner" FQ-390 in Korean War
From what I understand this was intended as an escort on long range bomber missions. As such, I assume the two pilots were able to take turns resting and flying on long flights
Out of the 4 war thunder youtuber i ever watched a video talking about what states prioritise. You are only one that ever said that you prefer firepower over mobility.
i loved this plane until they nerfed its speed because it used to be able to go 408 mph before and now its like as fast as a p51d-30 and this was with the gun pod

you can take the gun pods + some boms and rockets now.

I call the Twin Mustang the Flying Flamethrower, because tracers with that fire rate will more than likely ignite a fuel tank or oil line.

try setting the targeting distance on the guns to 100-200 meters or so, it'll fire like a shotgun :D
