I think it would be cool to take a page out of Roguelike's book and make it more random, bc any fight will get boring when done a hundred times Base game already has the idea sort of with the randomly generated pillars, but it might be cool to generate a random dragon with one defensive move, one movement pattern and two attacks from a pool every time
The Dragon has NEVER been a challenge, it's SO EASY to defeat and makes for a really LAME end-game boss-fight.. I am not asking for the Darkeater Midir, but at least do something along the same lines by adding different attacks types, update its DESIGN to make it actually scary/intimidating, make it walk/run at you on land, SPIT FIRE, add proper sounds/ROARS...etc... it's so bear-bone/boring for what is THE boss-fight of one of the most popular games on the planet...
i had this whole essay written as to why i didnt like this fight when i played roguecraft, but when i reread it, it felt insulting. so, i'm only gonna enter the biggest issues i had with it. all the lightning and explosion attacks are just... loud. like, not even too hard to dodge, just extremely loud. and due to my autism, i'm kind of sensitive to loud noises. i'd much rather prefer if i didnt have to go to my settings and change the weather and block volumes to zero just to not suffer irl. having one of the waves spawn wardens? really? wardens were made to be a natural disaster. to be run from, not fought. so why do you make me fight the mob thats not meant to be fought? it also kind of felt like you decreased their attack, which, at that point, just use a different mob that doesnt deal insane base damage. or just skip this wave altogether. and then the last phase where it uses all its attacks at once is just.. annoying. it felt like i was playing one of those mario maker levels where they just spam all the enemies in a single file line. and the way i overcame the challenge was just by... running around and mindlessly shooting the dragon. like, dont get me wrong, i enjoyed the rest of roguecraft. i went in almost blind knowing nothing but its a roguelite and theres some kind of infinite garden. learning everything roguecraft had to offer on my own felt really rewarding, especially the wildfire fight. good stuff. but the dragon fight just felt constantly overwhelming or underwhelming with no in-between. and when i actually beat the dragon, i didnt feel like i did something amazing. i just felt kind of annoyed.
the ender dragon is too easy this mod makes the boss fight fun and challenging i want the same with the wither the bedrock wither should be the same with bedrock
I actually want to Remake the fight for myself. Can you give me some command ideas? I WILL change them a bit so it doesnt seem copied, because i plan on releasing it as a datapack, complete with 20 other bosses. Would really appreciate that ❤❤
In roguecraft this boss was really fun. Expert work on the datapack. Question, if you even check this video's comments section anymore: I haven't had much success spawning the non-required bosses in my runs and therefore I haven't killed any, and therefore I don't know whether the bosses that were 'not added' for the seal are the vanilla boss mobs or new ones entirely you have yet to make. Which is it?
It would be less unbalanced if there weren't be wardens, because there's no FAIR way to defeat them, only cheese strats.(or 99*10^9 shulkerboxes with totems)
i made it sound more brutal in the video than it actually is. i don't remember the exact stats (and i can't look them up atm), but they are significantly weaker than normal wardens. i'd say that both of them are maybe as strong as a single normal warden, which is still tough, but winnable, even without cheesing
how do i install this data pack? do i just put it in the data pack folder inside my world saves folder? cause thats what i did and nothing happened Forge 1.20.1
hey man hoping you see this on this vid as opposed to the other since its less busy here. ive got a serious memory leak issue on my locally hosted server when i enter the end. im using your roguecraft data pack and as soon as we go in, it looks like just the normal end with the normal pillars, but i can tell some of this datapack is working as i get the boss title at the beginning and the blindness. however, my cpu and my ram spike super hard, and everyone connected times out. any idea whats going on?
it's fine, i read all the comments, so you could've posted it on the other video as well. either way, what version of the data pack were you playing on? prior to version 1.0.3, the schematic that was being loaded in the end was way, WAY bigger, which caused crashes for some people. maybe try downloading the newest version if you haven't already
@@MonoCodeYT just did, doesnt crash anymore but dragon insta dies when i get into the end and i get teleported either back to the bedrock spawn platform or the egg room
what kinda packs do you mean? for resource packs, i just use vanilla tweaks, so nothing too significant. for shader packs i used a mix of sildur's basic shaders and complementary reimagined
All I did while fighting this version of the dragon was just run away from endermen and hide underground lol

You should make the endstone immune to dragon explosions, otherwise the Island just vanishes in a matter of seconda
