I went through 4 rear elocker’s- all replaced on warranty before they paid for a full rebuild of my factory lsd. Maybe you have hope because it’s in the front...
I went a kazz2way lsd in the front few years ago and never had an issue with it.
I tried locking my diff like how Mac showed in the start of the vid, and it worked! You’ve Saved me thousands of $$$$!!! 🤣

some technical questions.
Does the NP300 have an R180a front differential?
Do you recall the spline count on the diff for the axle shafts?
I'm looking at options for hte R180a for the D40 Frontier. When I started looking up upper control arms it looks like the Thai-built D40 Navara and NP300 use the same part number, so I'm suspecting that the D40 and NP300 have the same width hub-to-hub, and possibly the design and frame rail spacing is the same up front. This makes me speculate that an NP300 front differential might swap into a D40, which would open up additional options even if it requires importing parts.
Turns out you also need to take auto or manual into account 🤦♂️ 3 different ratios for manual, but only one type if you have the auto lol mines a ratio of 3.357 for the auto

@@TJANDMAC My D40 has the same 3.357 ratio.
On some further digging it looks like the D40 has a 27-spline axle while the NP300/D23 has a 30-spline axle.
@@jorjimaco5331 I'm not a machinist either, but when I look to buy something expensive I do my research to see if it'll fit, and it's not impossible that others do the same.

Hi mate i have the Auto so there is only one ratio, if you have a manual you might have to call nissan to confirm
