I really appreciate your efforts with a nice inspiring show and educative. But am confused, at the end when the farmer says he gets 1.5 ton of beets per acre, how's that possible!? If at all when he said about 6 beets makes a Kilo. That means out of 1.5 ton (1500kilos x 6 beets) there should be about 9000 beets from the harvest per acre. My point is if an acre might have 4000 square meters then the farmer had only 2.3 plants of beets per square meter, which absolutely not true as per recommended plant spacing.
My take: if beetroots plant spacing was 30cm by 10cm then at a portion of 1sqm there should be at least 33 beetroots, which makes 5.5kg per square meter and within an acre there were supposed to have a plant population of 132,000. So by assuming that an average of 6beets makes up a Kilo, then an acre of land with 4000 sqm is supposed to produce an average of 22,000kgs (22tons) of beets instead of 1500kgs (1.5ton) as it was claimed by the farmer.
