I am delighted to see you use the makers in conjunction with paint. I have tons of art supplies and things like makers rarely get used. I will definitely be digging those puppies out and giving them another go.Can't thank you enough for sharing your knowledge with us.
Very informative tutorial, patient is a key factor in painting realistic paintings. Glad I found your tutorial paintings. As a beginning paint much is beyond my capabilities but will continue to watch all your tutorials to pick up on your techniques.
Really enjoyed this type of video. Even though it was sped up you explained in detail what you were doing. Love wildlife drawings/paintings and it’s difficult finding good tutorials on them so thank you for sharing this. Would love to see more.
Chuck, very nice work, as usual. I would not have imagined you'd get such a detailed look using markers to start. But you pulled it off. The finished piece is striking.
This was so great! I feel like I always have to get specific supplies and do things a very specific way. But you just made something with inexpensive paper (in my opinion), a few markers, and acrylic paint. I would never thing to glaze over markers with acrylic. Great job! I hope to one day do something like this. Thanks for sharing and keep them coming lol!!
I have drawn my wolf and have 100 s of these pens going to try it! Oils are my favorites but open to new techniques. Chuck, is very detailed and wildlife is my jam,,,,, even at 64. I will let you know how it turns out.
Absolutely beautiful! The wolf looks so lifelike, and you make it look so easy. It's a pleasure just watching you. I feel a lot more confident about tackling fur now.
I loved the way you talked us through the painting. It’s gorgeous!!! One question would you paint a horse the same way you do the deer’s? Could you maybe do a head of a horse like this one day for us?
Thank you! Uh, yes I think it would be the same. I've never actually painted a horse portrait yet however. But I think of anything the same way, it's all just textures and if you can paint a tiny part of the texture found in horse hair then you could paint the entire horse! I'm sure I'll have a horse in my future and I will certainly share the process. Thanks again, Loretta
Aww you’re so sweet thank you for answering my question. My granddaughter wants me to paint her horse for her. I have followed you for awhile now watching you do the deer’s. So I told her I would give a shot at it.
Yes! I loved watching this video. Right now, I'm still learning landscapes, but I would love to eventually pain animals. Thanks Chuck, you rock my world.
This is totaly diferent then your previous videos, but is one moreplus for you, definitely!Thank you so much !Personaly I am still practicing landscapes and clouds😁😉💞
i did a painting of my Siberian husky and no matter where you are standing even next to the wall on both sides he"s still looking at you. You are an excellent artist. Love your work.
Hi can I just ask why you go over in a light grey and then black, rather than going straight to black? I am struggling to see why and I end up painting colour over the colour below so if I could understand this step a bit more it may help me. Your videos are incredible and very informative. Thank you
Great video. I liked how you did this one. I have never been able to work with these types of markers. I just cannot get the hang of them. Maybe I will give them another try! This wolf is amazing. You are so talented.
Great video. It is really great to hear something about the process and I hope you will mix in these kind of videos every now and then. There is only one small thing I would also like to see. If you use your own pictures for inspiration it would be greate if you could also show them and point out the small details which inspired you.
Wow really amazing illustration! This is fantastic I love all the individual fur lines! Really nice job selling the feeling of it being furry and realistic! love this illustration keep up the amazing work! I'm looking forward to seeing more!
Love the painting. I like the use of markers with another medium. I've used markers with colored pencils and now I'll have to try it with paint. Is the bleed thru with the markers very bad on the paper? I've only used marker paper so no bleed thru.
I’m a new subscriber to your channel and think you are fantastic. I have enjoyed watching your process through this and how you explain how you do it. Well done!! Now to enjoy watching more of your past videos and look forward to your next ones. 🙂👍👍👍
Hi, Chuck. I like this technique. How and why did you choose to purchase Prismacolor markers over all other markers? Do you use other brands as well and what do you look for in a quality marker? Thank you
Yo, Chuck. What a great job to learn from your skill with fur in so in details with another techniques i have never seen. Well in detail in your painting skills, tools and the light in percentage which is very clear for me to capture what you meant here. This wollf is better than the cheetah poster I have on my wall by John Aito painted in 20 yrs ago. Hope this wolf can sell a good price and we never are able to copy another painting as good as yours. :).................STF.................
Hi Chuck. I really enjoy your videos and you instruction alongside. Wondering if these Prismacolor markers would work under oil paints? Or can you only use this technique with the acrylics? Thanks! :)
