That's on propose. The idea behind is that the clock always shows the same time and if you cut scenes o need to continue de video the next day, you don't see those time "jumps"
@Ernesto, you're probably not a watch/ clock guy. In case you didn't notice, every watch sets at this time when advertised on posters or in commercials. The reasons for it is that the key details remain visible at this setting and it's symmetrical witch makes it more likeable to the human brain.

We must all agree the brand name is very nice.
I actually don't have any problems with brands such as MVMT and FL. These watches get average consumers who do not care about watches get interested into wearing a timepiece. It's from the little guys people actually start doing more research and fall in love with higher end stuff.
It's all about fun, heck I started from an Invicta ten years ago.
MVMT did't compare itself to Rolex... Alpha m did.

I'm a new watch enthusiast and i did fall for and purchase a Filippo Loreti watch. I did not buy into their "cut out the middleman" crap but i bought it because i thought the watch looked nice. When it arrived MONTHS later, it was immediately apparent that the watch was cheap crap. I did learn a valuable lesson, i will NEVER again buy a watch brand/model that i have not first seen in person and put on my wrist.
man years ago i was almost sold by their BS ads and almost bought one lol thank God for TH-cam.
I am a watch fan and I have everything from Casios to Breitlings. I bought a Filipo Loreti Moonphase because I liked the look. I am currently testing it out by wearing it to work everyday and I have to say that it's holding up really well! I never bought into their marketing ploys about being a luxury brand but at this stage (about 3 months in) I would buy another one.

They’re fine, though I do have two issues related to cost-cutting. You’ll notice it with the bracelet and some of the bezels.
I got caught up in their marketing on kickstarter. The good part is that they got me interested in watches. So by the time my order from them got delivered ( almost 9 months late) I could tell they are not good quality. Got rid of them as soon as possible.
At least you learnt from it, this hobby is a minefield, but a lot of fun. And you can always find information from the "community".

every kickstarter watch around 200-300$ calls themselves luxury for fraction of a price. No normal watch is doing that.
This is another one of those that you could get on AliBaba and Wish in large quantities sans the Filipo Loreti stamp for about 10 dollars. Nothing new under the sun. I have the link but it seems they took it down - it was called Cadima moonphase or something.

I also found the cadima watch sometimes last year, it's exactly the same design as the hype FL watch. I even share the screenshot of cadima at comment section of FL page and Im happy for doing it. Now I dk why that cadima no longer there when i search for it.
I bought the very watch you feature in your video despite the fact that I read all the bad stuff about their website misrepresentations and saw through their 'luxury watch' claims. I just liked the way it looked. Eighteen months later I'm still happy.
I'm totally new as a fan of watches and I saw the Filippo Loreti commercial and smelled fishy instantly, but I was admittedly struck by the appearance of their watches, and so I looked them up.
This made the search algorithms go nuts and I got a TON of Filippo Loreti ads the following couple of weeks. This made me certain that it was all bullshit.
My logic is this: If I wanna buy a nice first watch, I should find a brand that suits me. If a brand finds me first and begs me to buy their watch, its probably cause its crappy quality and they wanna catch guys like me who don't know what to look for.
In the end, I ended up going for a SEIKO Presage. Well known brand, good quality, and at a good price!

I am somewhat new in the watch Game and consider the Filippo watches as very beautiful. May i ask how you know the quality is so bad?
Right on the ball with Seiko and similar brands. They have some high end ranges like Grand Seiko that imho absolutely count as luxury, but they don't go around calling their regular quartz models or their Seiko 5 range luxury.
I have developed a real scepticism of anything crowdfuned in recent years because of all these watch companies who do kickstarter funding and then start a second or third one before they've even completed shipments to all the backers of the first one, they obviously don't need the crowdfund money, they're just greedy, as exemplified by them "cutting out the middleman" but just pocketing the extra savings themselves instead of actually providing a better product, Shenzen made by a Lithuanian based company but so much brand image that insinuates they're designed and made in the heart of Rome or Venice or somewhere.
Tell us about the quality of the FL. Why is it subpar. Does it keep horrible time, will it stop working properly after a brief period. Give us the details.

same reason im here.. the commercial came up and stead of clicking skip ads decided to sit through it. as you stated they are true marketing geniuses, I was hooked and sat through the entire pitch. amazon reviews looked a little shaky, but I came across your channel and that ended up being the nail in the coffin for me.
One of the few brands out there that I feel gives you great value in part because the only sell direct to customer is Stowa. They really don’t push the “cut out the middleman” thing but there is excellent value for the money.

I purchased the Okenos Green face Filippo Lorreti watch in July. Its now October. I was given an email stating each watch is custom made and I must be patient, so far the Case , custom dial, case back has been made and apparently im waiting for assembly, testing and the strap then shipping, seriously I just wanted a green face watch which wasnt a Rolex Hulk, I dont believe for the price each watch is hand assembled over 4 months.
I saw a TH-cam ad for it thinking it was too good to be true. Thanks for this review showing me that I was correct in that hunch. Best bang for my buck has been a Tudor honestly.
FIlippo Loreti emailed me a few months back asking if I wanted to review a watch. Sure, I thought. I'm not a big fan of the watches but it would be interesting to check them out and see if they're as bad as I thought. When they asked me for my address. They added a little note saying that they wanted me to make sure the comment section was entirely positivity, so they wanted me to remove negative comments and be as positive as possible in my review. So I basically said HELL NO! And stopped communicating with them.
Being Lithuanian, I thought Filippo Loreti was a piece of turd from the very beginning when they launched the brand.
I just purchased today. Looking forward seeing it on my wrist.
Well, I just ordered a automatic watch from them with a miyota movement for 350usd. The entire thing is, according to them, going to be made by hand. I am curious to see how it ends up being

I ordered the Filipo Loreti watch in October, it arrived on February 19 .. I tried every way to contact them and I realized that the company has an Italian name, the website has an American telephone number, my shipment came from Lithuania, and the bank told me that the bill I paid from the Netherlands.
For two months I was dragged away by how the shipment was lost in transportation, no one knew what happened to the shipment. Whenever I wrote by email, I always got an automatic message, and every 10th time someone else replied, while on the instagram page someone else answered again.
I paid the price of the watch which stated that the delivery was free, however, they charged me another $ 25 for delivery, plus 30% of the total price for customs when the shipment arrived.
Too bad experience in their business, where I was convinced that I would not even get an hour. But by some miracle he arrived. The watch is nice, looks good, while the chronometers don't work, they just stand there aesthetically. I think the real price of this watch is about $ 50, not anymore.
A friend of mine bought two. Himself an automatic with the 3 sub dials displaying seconds day/date and a women’s quartz. He’s new to the hobby and I warned him that their junk. He fell for the commercial. After waiting 3 months they arrived. I asked to take a look and open the back. Just as you said it’s a Chinese movement. Both the automatic and the quartz! They didn’t even decorate the movement to even try to make it “in house” It was cheap and ugly and their lying to the consumer. And for the $500 he spent on two watches he could of gotten way better.

The fact that MVMT hasn’t stolen an image of another movement for their website puts them a tad higher on the Caca Scale than Shitlito Loreti 😉
I’ve seen way too many bad things about this brand like the watches falling apart days later, taking literal years for delivery, continually pushed back delivery dates and watches never showing up.... I’m sure you get the idea by now. Contrast that to the experience I had with Orient almost a year ago; ordered a Bambino from Orient’s website with a discount code and I literally had my watch 2 days later and no problems whatsoever. The only “good” thing about brands like this and MVMT is that they do get people into watches and if you do your homework, you learn that you can get vastly more for a lot less!
I had an Apple Watch and the novelty just wore off, I much preferred actual timepieces, though my previous watches were Nixon’s, of course one day I saw on a TH-cam channel I follow, I saw a MVMT gunmetal grey chronograph with lovely light blue hands. It looked good and the price didn’t seem bad, $150. I love gunmetal grey as its the signature color of the BNR32 Nissan Skyline GT-R but rather then make a rash decision, I did my due diligence. Also I picked up on the comments section of the videos whenever that content was posted, this guy would continually get hate from it, not trolls but actually comments deriding MVMT. Plus when I actually had a closeup of the watches face, there were NO markings on the sub dials! None! What’s the point?
Instead as my first proper watch I selected a Seiko SNK807, automatic with a day/date complication for under $70. Seiko quality indeed. I just picked up a SRPC91 with the lovely blue dial and my next acquisitions will be the SKX007 and the JDM green Alpinist. Glad I went down this trajectory rather then being impulsive!
Fed, you should tell them to send you some watches and you can review them and compare them to a price match quality watch
Which brand is the worst: Filippo Loreti, MVMT, Daniel Wellington or Christopher Ward?
I am one of those average joes that was attracted to Filippo Loreti due to their slick marketing ads. And as much as you criticise the quality of their watches, you have to give Loretti credit for making what LOOKS like an absolutely stunning watch. I bow to your greater experience in saying that Loretti watches are garbage, but to a watch noob like myself, they look gorgeous. I don't wear a watch, because my big issue with watches is that they all look the same - i want a watch that looks cool AND different. Loretti watches do that - what other brand at a couple of hundred dollars looks as good as a Loretti?
As i said, i bow to your greater experience in saying that quality wise Loretti don't stack up. BUT, looks are really important to me when it comes to watches, and to take an example, i checked out all the watches you linked as being really good, and while they may well be great quality wise, my big issue is that every single one of them looks the same - they have the same boring look that all watch brands have been churning out for decades. I want something unique that makes you think, "wow i haven't seen anything like that before, cool!" I hope i'm not sounding like i'm supporting Loretti, i'm not. Just querying if there are any brands out there which have the quality AND the unique cool looks of the Loretti watches...
I just saw a Filippo ad. And the stink in the air was how proud they were of the $5M kick starter haul. That’s says nothing about the watch. And they used words like “Italian craftsmanship”. First thing I checked: what’s inside? And a mass produced Asian movement typical to knock offs. Then I found this vid.
And the 150-300 buck price said to me: too good to be true. Yeah, the ad killed the watch before I even gave it a second thought.
FL have recently released a line of 200m divers that give you options for a miyota 9015 or Sellita SW200 movement. And they’re claiming to use sapphire crystal as opposed to their previous sapphire-coated mineral. So I guess they’re trying to step up their quality. The prices inflate accordingly though.

I think they had one with the rose gold moon phase which did look ok, almost had me but it's just the shell that's nice, inside apparently its running on a basic quartz movement.

I paid nearly $300 for the Okeanos green in May , it's now almost December and it arrives from USA , not Italy.
It's not in a luxury box , the box is printed cardboard. All this bullshit about limited edition watched now I see they're for sale for $199.

All this time and the assembly of the back, wow they couldn't even screw it on so the pressed sculpture is the right way around .

I didn't Google reviews before handing over my hard earned money for a $50 watch that I waited over 7 months to "hand make".
I was sent two emails telling me my watch had been sent to the wrong person , note also not one watch has serial numbers or markings that they're even waterproof .

I'm sitting here looking at two lower priced watches that I own. One is an older JDM Seiko 5, that cost me $100 used, and the other is a Seiko Samurai bought brand new for $300. Either one is of higher quality than an MVMT or a Filippo Loreti. And I didn't have to endure a commercial where some guy with a bad accent lied to me about how/where either one was made. And Seiko was quite honest about where these two watches sat on the spectrum of luxury, which is to say , not at all. So yeah, they are inexpensive watches, but I don't feel like I need to wash my hands after touching either one, lol.

Oh Federico, everytime I watch this video I feel a tear of joy and laughter when you call out the Filipo Bullshitty watches.( and I use the term watch very loosely). Those Petshop Boy lookalikes deserve all the shit they get for tainting the watch world with $10 Guangdong watch hub garbage AND getting away with it!!!!!!💩 No need for a middle men when you're scamming customers for 2-3000%
I remember when Christopher Ward were advertising themselves as direct-to-customer over 10 years ago. At least they featured actual Swiss made components, even if the original movements included a lot of quartz. But then so do Tag.
The whole direct watch selling industry seems to have exploded recently, with there being a real mix of purely marketing=led shitter brands and neat genuine micro brands doing something interesting..
Just hope the interesting stuff gets better known.

I have a small collection with only a few luxury watches (Omega, Rolex). I have and enjoy many of the brands you mentioned - Seiko, Orient, Vostok. Sadly, I cannot comment on the quality of FL, because after six months (after paying up front), I have yet to see the product! It's bad enough that they bullshit about their product, but their business model is brilliant. You either get an overprices pseudo-luxury watch or you get nada. Love the rant - wish it was longer.

Thoughts on Dornblüth und Sohn? They seem very nice for the cost and I understand they import escapements and some unitas parts. Am I right in thinking there's a catch to the cost effectiveness considering they manufacture their own calibers?

I ran into an ad on TH-cam and immediately I knew I had to have it.
So place an order but I got an email that I should get it by June and we’re in February I’m thinking about cancel my order but even if you cancel you’ll get hard time getting your money back. 😥

Funny thing, I'm here because, while working on TH-cam, I was rudely interrupted by a voice saying "you can get two Filippo Loreti luxury watches for just $99...". My highly trained muscles had received signals from my brain to click skip ad before I realized I was literally laughing out loud. By now my conscious brain had taken over and all I could think is "by the very definition of luxury watches, you can NOT buy two for $99." Does anyone really believe this s _ _ t ? So without a clue of how to spell Filippo Loreti, I typed in some letters to the google bar which got me there. Among the many purchased reviews were words like fraud and rant. Since I had just stopped laughing I came here to share my story which is ironically similar to the video. I also agree, that anyone CAN indeed purchase one and maybe even two "quality watches" for $99. My opinion would be to save up a little longer and buy a watch that said Seiko on it and it might last you a lifetime. What is impossible, is to believe that you could buy a new luxury watch for $99. Used, hopefully not stolen, it is remotely possible, but it would likely need serviced bringing your cost way up. Even fake luxury copies which are NOT luxury watches cost more than $99, but don't waist your time there either. Thanks for reading.
just saw their ad (loreti). checked them out and like Federico aid they look nice. but the big red flag was on their site they said something like the owners were frustrated seeing luxury watches that were built under $100 being sold for $1,000's. I am not a watch expert, don't care about Swiss watches and bells and whistles most of the time, i just want a functional watch that looks nice. but you can't believe a luxury watch with the bells and whistles, and the loreti watches try to include bells and whistles, were made under $100. seems to me these guys are trying to capitalize on nice looking, cheep watches with these taglines:
1. we are cheep because we cut the middle man
2. we model ourselves on Italian design
3. our pieces are "limited edition"
I got a FL Venice automatic watch and to be honest I was quite happy about it. Miyota 9xxx movement; day, month, date, sun & moon complicated. Plus the accuracy and design are nice. It could be a great choice.
However things that I don’t like are the word “luxury”, tons of emails about (perhaps) made up stories and ads, cutting middle man (although they are indeed middle man). That made me never buy from them again.
But why is fillipo loretti watch quality bad? Like how can you tell it's not worth 300? Did someone do some tests on the case/bracelet/movement?

I own two of their watches i have a gold frame white face Venice and I love it Is super classy looking. BUT they say its limited edition, then push you to spend 350-500+ TWO WEEKS LATER it will be on sale for $130 i bought the Ascari thinking it was limited BUT they make 300 or so limited first "edition" and then mass produce the rest and sell for less than half the cost
I love watches myself, I have different brand from Seiko, Movado, Bulova...but I also have one of this Filippo loreti, got it two months ago, and I love it no problems and very attractive.
Got a Moon Phase and an Ascari for free...at this price point I am very happy. My Hamilton X-Wind is my favorite and worth every penny. These Fillipo Loreti are nice everyday watches but more of a $89-$109 pricepoint.

You will get the in the end. Mine had some delay as well but a few weeks later I got the watch I've ordered. This was back in december 2017
They are beautiful, have 10 years warranty, they cost between 160 to 250 dollars, the quartz one, so they are reliable, beautiful and not that expensive, why not buy it? Because they are not luxury watch and don't have a complicate movement that make no difference on the functionality? Stupid is pay thousands of dollars for a watch just because they have rolex on the top and don't pay a tenth of the price of the same watch if they have something else

Filippo is a total SCAM! I ordered once a watch (not on kickstarter phase) and had to wait fo for 7 month. They emailed that will give 100$ as an apology gift. Accepted it in order not to make a chargeback. However, when tried to use it, they are saying that I have to make an purchase for at least 300$( basically no refund at all). WTF! Definitely DO NOT RECOMMEND!

I always feel the same way every time I watch their commercials.
Casio has hefty price watches with tons of functions, excellent durability, excellent quartz movement, tell me if other brand can make a 10 year battery watch at a cost of less than 20 usd. But the main point is, casio never mention they have luxury line of watches that can compare with the likes of rolex, AP & PP. Unless if we include the one and only luxury casio, the G-shock MRG models
If one has under 300 euro or dollar to spend, just get an Oriënt, a Seiko or a Citizen. NOTHING wrong with that at all. Tremendous value
Or a Festina, a Rodania, a Junkers, a Pulsar, a Swatch, a....... But sure as hell not a FL.
All the "influencers" they had to pay, are the middle man.
They are just trash and the use influencer to market their products without paying them.
