No one has ever captured the essence of music like Jon in my opinion. Everything he has done. Every one of the music he has influenced doesn’t just have soul, they have the essence of what music is.

For the contract, he was making 10% in his masters, the label was making 90%. Since he hasn't released, but has been building his resume working for other artists, the label figured it'd be more valuable to have Jon even at 10%. So now Jon is making 90% off his masters and the label 10%. Label being Capitol Records. Only at 5 mins so far so don't know if u alr went over this but saw u asked
