Ive got a feeling that those moments require less open playtesting than the current stuff in the demo needed. I remember that first release of the demo this past summer was a little rough and i came away from it pretty let down. The second release of the demo is a LOT more balanced and ive been S ranking the songs in Hard Mode on my SteamDeck

No. Freaking. WAY!!! I LOVED the original game and Cadence of Hyrule so much, and not only is there a new game in the same universe, there seems to be rhythm heaven styled minigames. And I've just recently got into that series!
GOD that opening instrument right before "You haven't forgotten about me, have you?" goes deliciously hard. Also the voice acting is wonderful, I love having that in small bits in games. Additionally, the fact that it looks like you only need the arrow keys to play means people will be able to DDR the whole game again!
I'm awful at rythm games, and rythm in general, I could never get far in NecroDancer and honestly I don't care, I don't regret buying it, I still listen to the OST every so often and the game is so well made I'm happy to support it. I'm sure I'll be awful at this game too but you can bet it'll be in my library when it comes out. I'll be happy to support people doing creative things with these genres.
I find Rhythm Heaven significantly easier for me than Crypt of the Necrodancer, and this new game looks similar. You might be good at it! I also find more traditional roguelikes to be easier than Crypt. It's just the combination of the two that's pretty hard for me.
Oof one of my all time favorite indie game franchises, can’t wait to see more of this. Also I didn’t even know a dlc was sort of out i’ll def have to buy it once i have some spare cash

Looks great. Nice references to a bunch of different rhythm games. Seems like a good tribute to the genre in general with the Necromancer twist!

I love that this mixes together multiple different rhythm games as well as a non-rhythm game. Animations are pretty great as well.
