  • How collectible are Case knives?
Case Knives have been the most collected and appreciated traditional knife since the early 1900's. Beginning the the early part of the last century, Case knives were the yardstick all other cutlery was measured.
What do the X's and dots mean on a case knife?
The Case blade tang dating system allows you to identify your knife with a year or era in which the knife was manufactured. The dating symbols are found on the tang stamps at the base of the knife's main blade. In 1970, Case added ten dots beneath the “U.S.A” on all knife tangs. Each year a dot was removed.
Why do case knives have two blades?
Having a pair of different blades allows us to select the right tool for a given job. Often we'll pocket a knife with more than two blades, for the same reason -- to have choices, that is -- or when we're playing Kephart (camping, fishing, hunting or hiking).
Why are case knives so expensive?
Case knives are expensive because of their unique craft, which is rare. This brand has made a good reputation over the years, and its value will continue to increase with time.

Thanks for watching! You should go to blade show. There are 20 or 40 other guys with collections like that but different brands. There is a guy with 40 Rolex watches and a minimum $10k and some $100k

Yes, they have a lifetime warranty. I sent my Benchmade Casbah back. I think i got a service number and had to pay shipping and they paid return shipping. I'm not 100% on the shipping 5+ years ago but do remember it was fast. The 2nd Amendment community doesn't love Benchmade because they cut/destroyed seized police guns. Just the water in Oregon maybe?
