As someone that never played any fps and only played like 10h of css, this game is ridiculously daunting. It's impossible to even get 1 kill when everyone is just a pro. I guess cs2 is just not for beginners at all
Or dont expect to be great at the game in one day, one month or a year when peolpe have been playing since 2001.. some people have 5, 10, 20 years exp on you. Dont QUIT! all im saying its a great game with a steep learning curve, check out a oldie but goodie known as TAOcs its old and from 1.6 but it will teach you a lot of basics he is talking about in this video; it will probably help you if your play valorant too!
I just picked up the game yesterday, first comp shooter I've ever played. Was getting the hang of dust 2 in casual when I got a k/d of 7/9 which is my best yet. Gotta say I love shredding in the early game with dual barettas UPDATE: got a k/d of 9/4 today, improvement is awesome
I understand I just play death matches playing actual ranked or casual is very hard and seemingly impossible to try to enjoy. Wide swung insta headshot
@@naofumi9237 if you want to improve faster be careful with deathmatches there's a big catch 22 with them. They improve your aim and response time, but you dont train your hand eye coordination in regards to checking and clearing angles which is like 50% of comp, the other 50% can be broken down into map awareness "whats going on and where", knowing line ups "places to throw grenades", throwing grenades without lineups and call outs "critical spots on the map" which is basically communicating.

Thanks for this content. I've been told on mic that I am the worst on more than one occasion, but that's okay as I am learning the game and trying to improve. This video is encouraging, thank you.
im coming from valorant, peaked at gold 2 but other than similar shooting mechanics, these games are nothing alike, valorant is probably easier at beginner levels, but probably gets much harder at higher skills and has a bigger skill gap perhaps because of all the utility and it being dependant on what agent you're using, where as csgo2 is probably much harder to get in to but maybe once you hit that flow, it balances out
Depends as long as you’re semi consistent. Few hours here and there in a week and you should be able to maintain your progress. If you only get 2 hrs a week to game then yeah it’s not for you
I mean I work full time I just will play after work only really putting in like three games of competitive before I get off, given I do come from playing fps games a lot so aim isn’t the hardest part, but really if you only queue a 1 or two maps you’ll have a better idea within a week
I feel like hit detection is ass in cs… any tips on what causes that or a way to increase it? I can be standing and shooting 5-6 shots through someone but then die lol
I need tips on surviving. I'm usually the first player in a round to be killed. Only camping in the back saves me, but then I don't get any kills. What should I work on?
Be the second most aggressive person on your team. That's what I do as a new player and I was able to get my first ten kills only 20 hours into playing.
As darkrose say, be the second guy behind the other ones. CS is a game where someone has to do the first move to break the ice for everyone else, don't be that guy :P.
So I do know the different callouts, but when I try to give info or make plans, like a good 30% of the time people yell at me because Im a woman, what can I do to mitigate this besides just not communicating? Does it become less common in higher elo?
That’s honestly is just unfortunate, I just picked up the game recently and most of the toxicity I’ve had was by typers, given I’m also not a women. I guess just make you calls brief
This is the reason why I don't like to use my mic anymore, didn't experience many people who will take you seriously sadly. some people just go crazy hearing a female voice so idk if it would really matter what or how you say things but yeah that's coming from my personal experience. If you know a way please let me know as well ^^
Yeah, I was thinking about giving it a go, but this looks a bit much for me. Are there any free competitive shooters that are more new player friendly?
I have 30h on CS2 and i have very inconsistent games í sometimes can rack up like 17/6/8 but sometimes i just get like 5/12/3 even tho it feels like im not playing against better players than in the games i do good. It feels like the skills issue haunts me 😂
I played gmod for years and always played on these maps, but never played counter strike itself. Would I be somewhat decent compared to a brand new player? Yes the game is free but I know the learning curve is steep so its keeping me from getting the game.
Map knowledge is useful. But just playing around in gmod sandbox i dont think would give you the same understanding of the map because you wouldnt understand which parts of the map are important.
i just knew that money isnt alocate to each player, i just spend all money on random guns i dident even use and bought all kinds of hand granade... maybe it was casual and there was only new players like me, nobody talk about it so i think i didnt kicked out of match😅
I come from cod competitive and brother I suffer severely from speaking clearly just how I talk way I pronounce things lmao but my team knows what I’m saying (look up a video of celium playing for faze in mw3 and that’s how I sound)

I want to play it not make it my day job. They can call positions but if I don't know where or what those positions are, it doesn't help me. Plus having the same maps as cs:go 1 is pretty laame... Everyone knows them by heart. Best tips: 144hz, 160fps, low latency, good mouse Learn all the bull shit... Jezus no thank you. Why would you grind at a game. That isn't fun.
I just Downloaded the game and now after watching this video I’m going to uninstall. Don’t like not being able to ads. Also don’t like any game that’s remotely like csgo. I want to play a arcade shooter not hide and go seek.
Play Overwatch, it's very fast paced, no hide and seek, and can be played casually or seriously. And if your aim is ballss you can learn to play some heroes that don't require as much aim.
