I just got this. It has almost all the functionalities of TBPro Audio DSEQ3. Kinda like a carbon copy of that plugin but with some buttons and knobs placed in different places. The resonance detection is ok. It can be quite aggressive or very subtle.
I love TBTechs interfaces. I really think they are a reverb, a delay, and saturation plugin away from giving Fabfilter a run for their money. If they havent already. Theyre all great. I also regret wasting my money on Acustica Dove. And they fact that that plugin installs i think 15 different version of the plugin is criminal. Lol.
Unless they make their pricing more competitive or have something really innovative and groundbreaking, it doesn’t matter. $40 for the Waves vs a new version of a $200+ plugin is still a no-brainer to people who need simple resonance suppression.
Thank you. When you pressed delta I got the impression that Soothe2 and Curves Equator also lower the volume. And SpecCraft only removes dirt/noise. Unless, of course, all the settings were the same. Maybe SpecCraft actually adds the frequencies that were removed during the cleanup process? I don't know. So I'll have to think about it.
Thought I was tripping or something, it's like you chose just the right amount of times to play this vocal over and over again before I go crazy myself 😵💫
@@JustMee-k8q Thats true if you buy it on its own but Melda has a pretty affordable rent to own bundle with all their plugins and I have not been tempted to get other companies new stuff cuz melda ends up already having that feature. I downloaded the demo. Using Ableton 11.1 on Windows 10. Everything normally works fine. Once SpecCraft VST3 is loaded on vocal track and is put to work; my entire Ableton get stuck. The audio continous playing, but none of the interfaces work. Once vocal stops, everything gets back to normal.

I own the tbtech equalizer and love it. But i found it unusable cause just 1 instance and my daw starts lagging like crazy. Unfortunately i cant use it...
Do you think you'll use SpecCraft over Waves Equator? I just quik-reviewed it and I personally think it's just as good-but a little less approachable and more expensive. I also get the sense that there's a suppressor backlash on the rise. I loved SpecCraft, but I'll probably stick with Equator atm. Great review!
No i dont think I will. And that has nothing to do with the quality of SpecCraft, but simply because I have equator, soothe 2 and some more variations of the same concept.
@@audiotoolshed Kind of getting the same feeling here. Although that Profile feature might prove to be its true USP! I'm hoping they put it on pluginboutique at a price below Equator.
So when you raise the EQ line are you getting more or less suppression? Meaning when you create a point and lift it….does it make the frequency louder or more suppressed?
@@audiotoolshed They can be. I'm sure some will be, but some are also going to be like me. Oek invented this technology. Soothe is the industry standard, they don't need to lower the price. Same as FabFilter don't have to do that even if there's like 10 Pro-Q copies on the market. There's a pro-q on steroids from TBT called Kirchhoff-EQ. It's around for like 2 years or something. It does more than pro-q, is it better? maybe, but it's not the standard and never going to be.
