Safety deposit boxes in banks have a master key/skeleton key for all the boxes. One key can bypass the second lock. It's pretty easy to open them, stage a find, then lock them again to be broken into. The banks send a notice out to safety deposit box owners to claim their things before closing, anything left behind goes to the bank. And stop ''sharing'' your findings with your 'subscribers'. It's pathetic to buy people without ever paying up.

In one of the the other vids you could see keys sticking out of one of the deposit boxes.
You couldn't be more wrong. I've worked in banks for years. The only way to access a box without both keys is to drill it. We've had to drill multiple boxes because the owner of the box has lost their keys. We are legally not allowed to have any access to a box once it's been rented.

pretty damn cool video ! makes me wonder how many times through out the world something like this happens with Safety deposit boxes especially in the older generations who really used these boxes quite a bit I’m 56 years old and as a child i remember my parents and all their peers talking about how safe they thought their Safety Deposit boxes were it kind of makes me chuckle how quick you guys could get into them with a grinder and a hammer the Silver is a great score
I would’ve went through EVERY book & cranny in that bank. I would’ve also ground off EVERY door on those safety deposit boxes.

Banks are not abandoned. Even if so, the government gets involved and regulations must be followed. All safe deposit boxes are cleaned out. They can be opened by Diebold or the company of installation. All left overs go to the state and customers are charged a fee for the drilling before getting unclaimed funds. Much work for very little. Very fun and exciting to watch though!

The fees are higher than that! Do these guys have any idea how much a box costs to rent? It smells and sounds like clickbait to me. But you are definitely correct about the legal end of things. What we watched could never happen. Therefore it is bo*us. I hope they don't have Patreon accounts, and that people don't send them money.
@@taraangel6221 Clearly fake. Nobody in their right mind would pay $150 a year to store a single $20 bill. They also wouldn't "accidentally" leave behind an envelope with $20 in it or 3 single 1 ounce silver bars while cleaning it out.

I used to work in a BB&T and when we closed that branch there was a bank area manager that came down with an auditor about 3 months before we closed. They spent an entire week going through the list of Safety Deposit Box owners and telling them they had to come collect the boxes contents OR it was forfeited into probate or holding until it would be collected by a confirmed family member.
Also, even after a bank is defunct, I'm pretty sure it's still a criminal activity to deface bank property without permission.

Then they paid damages for lost contents to the owners of each box. That is assuming the contents were destroyed in the fire. If not, you come get you sealed box from the bank rep.
One more thing. They found a child pornagrapher when they assessed damage to boxes after that fire. Some scumbag actually told the bank insurance adjuster, "my precious family videotapes were in that box". Insurance adjuster notes that in a report, bank tells FBI, FBI questions guy, and went to jail a year later.
My mama used to be an internal auditor for a bank before she retired. She had to go help close branches down. She also had to audit if a branch was robbed.

I don't see why it matters unless your a hatter, but sense it matters so much, this video is 1 part and has other video episodes before it. In the first episode he said his dad owns a demolition recycling company and they bought the bank through auction and owned the rights to the building and anything in it.

Growing up, my dads friend aquired a safe from an old buddies airplane hanger after he died. This thing was so massive that it broke the axles of his truck. It was the exact same make and model as the safe that jack daniels famously kicked one night while he was drunk and got gangrene and died. We spent weeks cutting and trying to hack into this safe. It was an inch of steel. Then four inches of concretes then another inch of steel. There were a few wheat pennies, a couple mercury dimes, a couple buffalo Nickels and some old stamps.wasnt worth the money we spent on blades getting this thing open or the money it cost to fix the truck.

There is no such thing as an 'abandoned' bank. By law everything after a bank closure is overseen by the government. For anyone who believes this video I have a friend who knows a guy who knows the person that owns the Saharan Desert, and I've heard that he wants to sell. Oh, and there's gold under all of that sand, that's why it's so shiny....

You assume that just because it was an abandoned bank that the bars would be very old? The bank was a functional bank up until it closed. If the bank was abandoned a couple years ago then the bars could be just as recent. Think about it.

Any Bank that's closing must return all items to the owners of the box. If they are unable to find them, they go into probate.
You can tell by the time of their voices that they knew what was in each safe before they opened them.

I think I watched this a few years ago, I can't believe this is real. Buildings scheduled for demolition are normally cordened off with tall metal fencing and the demo crew start slowly taking it apart, so if this was bank you can bet good money the demo crew has already searched the building for anything valuable especially if it was a bank, so the only logical thought I can come up with is the bank cleared the vault left all deposit boxes open and left the keys to them behind, these two got permission to film there planted items to be found on film and locked the deposit boxes ready to make the video.
