When placing doors on their face, there needs to be blocks placed underneath for stability - i.e. they need to be grounded. You can achieve what you have planned by placing the blocks underneath first, then place the door and then remove said grounding blocks from underneath (no need to upgrade them either - build blocks are fine). The door should not fall as they are now being held in place by the walling (if you want to call it that). It's a weird building bug.
@@Thinchap you can make underground farms with the blocks you had the traps running thru they technically let sunlight thru even tho there a solid block
