Should also try super massive on kunai. Does about 1/3-1/2 of a normal enemies HP
Think you're sleeping on kunai. They can roll melee damage. With super massive, they do big damage and knockdown which buys time with only a 30s cool down.
If you run Impactful Throws on your charm, every knockdown gives you a finisher option (square button press). This works great with a Ronin's concussion grenades and kunai with Super Massive.
I would actually really recommend using the helmet piercing ammo perk for the Skipping Stone bow because if you don't have it, both your normal headshots and ricochet headshots (including ricochet class ability arrows and ultimate ricochets) will be blocked by helmet enemies

Yea just played ronin on survival nightmare. Running two ronins, samurai and assassin. Popped about 20 revs at the end of the run.
I just wanted to say that a couple of hours earlier I finished all the story missions solo. I swear to god I don't know how I did it but I achieved it...

@@phantom_commando5296 It's a great experience overall because when you generally achieve something solo you feel great because you did it all by yourself. Anyways good luck. Remember sometimes you have to escape and get back to the fight again because there a lot of enemies in most situations.

Solo'ing nightmare is not that productive as you get the extra stuff from the 2 man activated bonuses like the oni box and the curse. it's fun practice though and a rite of passage i suppose

Ronin: Bombs. Lots of bombs.
Demon seed caltrops are seriously underrated. I rolled mine with fired up, weakens and burns enemies. Their health bar goes down super quick. Useful against mobs of enemies at defense points in survival.
Agree! Caltrops in general I feel are underrated. Don’t see many people using. Great for choke points, protecting the circle, defending your position if you are sitting back as a Hunter, or just need to pile on more damage right in the thick of things

I was completely taken aback by the effectiveness of the moon stance. It surprisingly was so versatile and became my favorite stance very quickly

@@OutCast907 different swords have different stances. A moon sword will have the moon stance. But some swords can have more than one stance. If that’s the case you’ll switch stances the same way you do in story mode.
If anyone want to try it.. ronin use demon cutter with wind stance, bomb packs,preferred charm with impactful throws, sticky bombs with increased damage and radius, smoke bomb with black powder effect, all the enemies stay on the ground and vulnerable lol its fun
The kunai are the weakest true, but you should try the legendary spirit kunai with the super massive perk. YOU WONT REGRET IT.
Legendary Kunai with increased damage and super massive allows you to snipe enemies easily at low health, even oni. It greatly helps cooldowns and can allow you to use it 3-4 times during one fight as the cooldown is applied to the kunai as well. It's crazy good with the assassin, almost always have a vanish ability/smoke bomb up due to this
Dude water master is so ridiculously op man I love it but also having a stone stance with water stance can be helpful as well staggers a sword enemy in like 1 or 2 heavy attacks and then you got the water for sheilds
Shield/Water and Brute/Moon stances and good to go! Really don’t feel like all 4 are needed
Yea the only 2 that are needed are stone and water all other stances are irrelevant except of you get the legendary sword with the wind stance that has 20% chance to do double damage if you put the wind master on it bro its op asf you kick any enemy they get knocked down and you finish them
We say that but all stances are relevant, try using anything other than wind on spear guy and he just blocks and attacks you through your own attacks, wind and water most common enemies, brutes are easier to adapt to

@@terryglover6442 Watch the guys doing Nightmare Story solo without taking damage! Spear and sword you just have to wait and counter their blockable attack. I’m not there yet but hasn’t been a problem in Gold. I’d rather not waste a Legendary slot just to have the Masters sword and gain the other 2 stances. So considering tradeoffs, having 2 stances on an Epic seems good, and those are by far the 2 stances I go for
@@HoopleHeadUSA I've attempted it a few times and have failed each time but got close 2 times, I know that the stone stances first piercing strike is stronger than the follow ups, if you use way of the flame you will decimate one of the fat oni in 3 heavy strikes, given you only have one stance now, the spear oni is the one who always kills me

The Ronin is a Must have in your party for Gold or Nightmare survival, being able to insta-revive all downed pArty members and u can add a perk that egnites all nearby enemies to revived players, it's a game changer for sure
Gold not really, Nightmare definitely.
I just solo'd the nightmare weekly with Hunter. If you play solo, the Combat Regen perk on your charm is mandatory for me.
I used epic water sword w/ water master and Legendary longbow w/ helm piercer. The kunai with the knockdown perk is pretty awesome and then smoke bomb w/ Lucky perk.
you want hallucination darts on the legendary blowgun, it has only chance to kill small enemies, not special ones.... so if you are running nightmare solo it's a must to have hallucination

Scrolls dont give you stuff iirc. Only oni treasures
Lost Scrolls from bonus objectives in the story mode will drop armor or helm skins after you collect a certain amount

I think the wind master perk would be good for support for like revives and stuff. Kick the enemies away and then revive.
All I’ve ever needed in Legends is an increased parry window and leeching parry, I have like a 20% bigger parry window and coupled with leeching parry it’s super OP and I never need healing
Exactly. Survivability is so important to me so I’ve stacked parry window, leaching parry and counter damage.
Yes ! The only problem I have is getting hit while in stuck in an animation
water stance is strong against all types except spearmen. you wont break their guard. BUT it's still better to have water on water and dodge around them to strike from behind than having wind stance on your water sword. you can always deploy your ghost weapons to create an opening on spearmen too, don't waste the slot by using wind stance, there are better ways to deal with spearmen.
I think I have to disagree with you on the kunai not being that great. That’s probably one of my most used and best Ghost weapon for my Ronin. Using the fired up perk, the Ronin technique for increasing ghost weapon damage by 50%, then stacking all the other gear stats towards passive abilities of decreasing ghost weapon cool down and increasing fire damage. It allows me to use the kunai pretty constantly, and I stacked my Ronin with way of the flame and the Breath of Izanami sets all the enemies around me on fire. Add that to the bombs that double as black powder bombs. All the fire damage I’m doing refills my resolve pretty quickly. I hope that Sucker Punch comes out with loadouts for multiplayer since they added it to the campaign, need to add my healer build for Ronin. Favorite character hands down 🙌🏻
Disagree brother Kunais are honestly useless they are weak as well and compared to dirt with fire or the op sticky bomb it doesn't even compare but if you enjoy using it that's all that matters

@@howdoyouevenknow6526 true the sticky bomb is OP but the recharge on it is why I like the kunai more. Also you can still use the healing pot with the fire damage ultimate, made it through gold no deaths with 3 people. To each their own play style my dude. I also have a build for healing, just depends on the squad.

I personally use eagle eye on my stone bow so it's easier to snipe from distance for me. Also recommend to roll increased area of Your exploding arrow as a dirt throw perk, there are a lot of arrows dropping from enemies plus arrow stands, so You will never run out of arrows anyway. Roll the increased time for status effect on the charm for example and one exploding arrow burns enemies like freaking paper, on survival especially 😃

Dear players who don’t complete the bonus objectives in survival/story- do them even if you have the gear set. It’s annoying when most of the players work on them but some don’t because they think it’s ok since they already have them. I have the full golden cinder (with mask) outfit for the assassin and was about to complete the final bonus objective on gold difficulty survival (trying to get the smoldering outfit, I already have the mask) and the one person not doing it was also wearing the full golden cinders outfit (and had probably unlocked the one I was trying to get because it’s easiest). We were four kills away from completing all of them...
I dunno man, I think you have it wrong. Stone master, alongside with being able to have heavenly strike makes the stone sword the best out of all the legendaries in my opinion
I run ronin with legendary bomb pack so it heals also dirt with fired up and smoke for when I wanna kill off an oni or some shit. I always put the stats so I earn hella resolve with say 2 or 3 bombs. I also put poison on my water stance. I’ve been running it and I have 110 ki rn. It’s pretty nice if you know how to use all of it

Its pretty easy to solo nightmare. Been using Archer to cheese my way through. Is a bit time consuming but you can go without a hit for the first half

For assassin make sure to have stealth damage on any gear possible. Plus the all damage on. I have about 150pct extra stealth damage with my build. I can two shot onis with super crit.

@@naivedays5421 Story mode. The first two big onis you fight i can get it almost half health with 1 regular crit. Im missing about 14pct damage. Need to reroll my charm for 12pct more stealth damage and my smoke bomb for 2pct more damage. I ran my buddy through nightmare story yesterday. He was ki lvl 90.

Ronin build?
The best rolls for high levels on a sword are without question Melee damage and staggered damage. On higher difficulties you only really attack when they are staggered anyways. Resolve gain or cool down can be nice as well but for maximum damage you need those two rolls
I got a legendary katana that allows me to switch thru all stances.. I’m pretty much set. Just deciding on which perk to switch too
I use intimidating counter on it. 50% to damage surrounding enemies on a perfect parry.

@@ETU187 everyone’s different. I personally love being in the thick of battle and baiting parries so I love it when I pull off perfect parries that heal me (I have leeching parry on my charm) and that do aoe damage to surrounding enemies.

I was reforging my gear and the cost went up essence from 225 to 250, honor 100 to 110 and shrine 3 to 4 for the full reforge also the individual perks cost increased. Just wondering will this continuously increase as I reforge more gear?

I will still say Stone stance is better than most stances because most enemies are sword wielding either way. Or have no guard and are easy to stomp over.
Edit: OOHH U don't know the quick non-stop combo I see with stone stance that doesn't allow the enemy to relock on you due to stun XD. 4:35
water stance is the best since it can get through any enemies defense through like one surging strike if you have water master it is op

How do you find these legendaries? I've been farming forever and still missing a bunch. All my characters are around 25 and one of them is in the mid 30's. Been farming story gold forever.

Blessed arrows on the hunter charm. Would not recommend getting it over foul arrows or fire master, however.

you've hit the limit that Silver rewards you with. you need to start GOLD level quests. There's Gold level Story and "Survival" quests. they reward you with 100+ Ki gear.

My only criticisms are the lack of transparency on gear stat rolls, not being able to check your gear in game, and the bow is OP. It's a slasher but shooting is most effective...

The last ability you unlock at 18 is the same for every class, it allows you to equip 2 legendary items instead of 1

Can we all agree on the fact that stealth is basically useless now? No seriously not being able to oneshot enemies while hidden is basically eliminating an in-game mechanic. You CAN’T stealth,not even with the assassin.
Yeah you need a heck of a build to one shot even regular enemies. It's still possible, but Onis can never be one shotted (though you can take a big chunk of it's HP with the crit strikes).
I have a nice assassin build that one shots enemies except the oni mini bosses takes me around 3 sometimes 4 assassinations
It’s there for late game just critical strike enemies to get an edge on the battle to come
@@Maikeru101 That’s the problem imp,stealth in got is a fundamental mechanic,even if kinda “flat”,the stealth is still quite important,especially if you put an assassin class.
Meh. Sure you may not be able to one shot them all the time but with the massive hp bars enemies have in gold/nightmare. Being able to take chunks of hp down safely is paramount. A good assassin can easily destroy high threat targets with smokes and vanish and any other cc ghost weapon like dirt or stickys.

Nightmare story is alright, just try to coordinate with the person using the ping system. Nightmare survival is the hardest, pretty sure im never going to get the golden cinder helm for samurai
Please, stop with this "opportunist is a staple" meme already. There are tons of other viable, fun, potent and viable builds that don't run oportunist. I run a speedy, heavy on CDR and resets build with master assassin and can fly enemy to enemy way more times in turn dishing out more damage building Sneak attack damage, and that's just an example, so please, enough.
Pease stop using that term wrong. Minmax means using minimum or all skill points, abilities and etc to the max usage. It does not apply on gear only things. The term was originally used to mean minimum lose with maximum gain. A lot of gamers use it wrong.
