Hello Mr. Klassen,
I quite by accident found your youtube videos talking about teaching golf. First off I want to tell you a bit about myself. I am a forty year old Canadian from the Montreal area. I am married and have a 7 year old boy. As well as three dogs and a bunch of cats. My life is pretty busy, so I don’t play golf as much as I would like. As well financially we are tight but I hope to free up some money and time in the future to dedicate to improving my golf game.
I started playing golf when I was young with my father and little brother. My brother was a natural at golf I wasn’t. I really struggled and since I was young and my Dad was paying for our golf I always felt obligated to play better. There was enough pressure that when I was eighteen or so I gave up golf. Fast forward to when I was thirty I started playing again. This time though I only played for fun. I was paying for the golf myself so there was no pressure to be good. My game after a few years improved a little bit from when I was a teenager. I am not a very good golfer at all. I usually hit around 110 a round. However I don’t let that stop me from enjoying myself.
I have found videos and different teaching techniques on the internet. Non of them are like your videos. I am a right hand player with a mean slice. When I found your videos that talked about the golf ball being a heavy ping pong ball things clicked. You also talked about teaching myself how to slice and then how to hook the ball. I was so excited about this revelation that I went to my local driving range to try out your notion. Well now I was pretty surprised when in just a few hits I was aiming the ball roughly where I set out to almost each time. I would say in my head okay this time a slice and a wicked one it would be, I then would say hook and I couldn’t get it to really hook but the ball would travel to my left or end up strait ahead of me after just a little curve. I was amazed at how I could correct my slice that easily.
Now I know it will take practice and I know I need to concentrate on my short game and putting to really get my score down. However I want to thank you for giving me some of the tools to teach myself how to put the ball where I want it to go. I look forward to going to the driving range a few more times and then maybe get a game or two in to really try out these shots in a real game.
Unfortunately I do not have the financial capacity to join your members club on your site. I also don’t have the money to pick up your DVDs. But I think I will be asking for them for my birthday.

Hi Darrell. I was always taught that to hit a draw make sure you make contact with the ball at approx 7-8 o’clock. You are saying to make contact with the ball/ground at 4-5. Allowing the toe move kinda up and around do I I have that correct?
So when watching a PGA event and the later/camera traces the ball flight...it seem that their balls have a draw trajectory.....so they must be doing what you teach?

Peter: It's pretty basic physics. If the club face isn't radically out of alignment at impact, the ball will fly where you are swinging, and the spin will curve it.

There is no side spin in golf it only spins backwards ! The ball curved only because it's spin axis has changed like the wings of an airplane.

Wrong . I cut the ball buy coming over the top and adding side spin .
