I have just stumbled across your channel, I’m from Northern Ireland, I suffer from addiction to drugs alcohol and have bad mental health at the moment and have been for the past 3 years, I’m 24, a lot of time to change I know but watching this channel and done some digging into your story and it has shown me if you can change then so can I, your really doing a justice for people around the world. Grew up in Baltimore city, sold all hard drugs...highly advanced addict as well. Oxycontin my doc. 320mg/day three hundred twenty.. and by ALL means I'll get it. Didn't murder, didn't do any sexual things...but everything else..I've done. Lots of violence and stealing, lying deceiving ppl 😔. Lie to everyone including ourself ..matter fact ESPECIALLY ourself.
I know how you feel...BRING THAT WARRIOR SPIRIT TO THE SURFACE. declare war on yourself...takes repetition...but eventually the mind gives in and says..."ok, he's not giving in...well we gotta adapt and overcome now" -david goggins.

I can’t say it was easy tapering off methadone, I was at 120 mg and tapered 4 mg a week. Once I hit 25 mg, I hopped on suboxone and tapered off that weekly by a mg. When I got to the very last mg, I would take crumbs every second day, then third, then I just stopped taking it. I was very restless, anxious and couldn’t sleep well for about 3days. It wasn’t as bad as tapering off methadone though. It took a long time to taper but... baby steps, right?! You can do it, just prepare yourself because it isn’t easy, but neither was chasing a fix... be kind to yourself, there’s always hope 💜
