Rankaku is a technique used in Asia which consists in sticking egg shells with lacquer. In this video this technique is rehabilitated in order to be able to be approached by everyone.

This is great! Thank you for posting. I have a couple of questions:
1 - What grade of sandpaper do you use?
2 - Do you need to apply any type of sealant on either the synthetic lacquer or the paint?
3 - How durable is this? Can it be used on jewelry or objects that get a fair amount of use?

Bonsoir. Est-il possible de travailler ces coquilles, préalablement colorées (peut être avec des bombes acryliques) et ensuite les coller sur une toile ? J'aimerais faire une petit tableau , multicolore, tout en coquilles d'oeufs. Merci de me répondre et pour vos bonnes idées.
