    I didn’t understand that the box was change container I know very little about Jewish life. If u could tell us the Jewish and English word I could understand better. Thank you for taking use into your home.

      hi! 😁 it’s called a tzedakah box, meaning charity box. Some people use the Yiddish, pushke. (PUSH-keh) Thank you for watching and learning! many blessings to you!

      I have heard of our house being a mikdash mé’at: a mini bet HaMikdash :) I like how Chana linked it to displaying a menorah 🕎:)

And one last question what's the best way to learn how to read in Hebrew it's easier to learn how to say things in Hebrew but reading or write it's almost impossible Do you have any recommendations or videos about learning how to write in Hebrew.       @@rosag7386 Yes, no problem even if you’re not Jewish you can carry around a Shir Lamalot card! Reading Hebrew is actually very simple! It’s very straightforward, with only a few small exceptions. Hebrew looks more overwhelming than it is. Before anything, first memorize the Hebrew letters, called the Alef-Beis and the sounds they make. Then memorize the vowels, and their sounds. Then you’ll be able to put it together, and here is a link to help you get started: www.chabad.org/library/howto/trainer_cdo/aid/138150/jewish/Aleph-Bet-Trainer.htm#0=1228&1=v27

    This was SO helpful and clear. I love your home and how it works! In the kitchen, next to the tzedake (sp?) box, you showed us a small volume, chunky volume that contained Tanakh, Siddur etc. How do you spell the title? I want to add both to my kitchen. Again, a thousand thanks for sharing!!

      I’m so glad you found this helpful! It’s called “chitas.” It generally just sits there but it has always been in my kitchen and I can’t imagine my kitchen without it!
