Trivia note: Each of the Christian Bale Batman movies was 12 minutes longer than the previous movie. Well, this movie is 12 minutes longer than Bale's 3rd Batman movie.

The "I'm Vengeance" line from this film is a reference the famous quote from the third episode of Batman The Animated Series by Kevin Conroy who is considered to be the greatest Batman of all time. In the third episode titled "Nothing to Fear" Batman says "I am vengeance! I am the night! I am BATMAN!".

i love that it took him the whole movie to realize that it was cat woman

As a longtime Batman fan I love that line “Maybe the city is beyond saving. But I have to try.” We don’t get a lot of young wild Bruce, but this movie captured it perfectly. He’s been Batman for two years, he’s violent, messy and raw. He hasn’t developed the persona “Bruce Wayne” we see in other older versions yet. This is a great representation of Bruce realizing Batman can’t be vengeance because it’ll just make things worse. He has to represent justice to make a difference. Great stuff.

He was staring at the kid because he knows exactly how he feels the Wayne’s were murdered right infront of Bruce as a kid as well

my favorite thing about this movie is that it showed batman staying and helping with rescue/cleanup after the flood. too many movies show the hero showing up to fight the villain and then disappearing for dramatic effect but i thought it was really cool to see a superhero actually staying and helping first responders. this movie was a great callback to vintage batman comics where he was more caring and kind to civilians, and a great detective.

this is inspired from batman year one, which means he's new to being a vigilante. so, the police don't want anything to do with him.

how is bro so slow in his reactions? He didn't realize it was Catwoman the whole movie 😭

  • @bigmeaty_custard4572

For me this is easily my favorite Batman in live action, he closest captures who Batman is as a person

  • @jaydakxdd975

By far the best live action Batman movie in my opinion. It’s so good with such a compelling story, and actually holds true to Bruce’s ideologies and themes from the comics.

I know people have issues with the representation of Batman and the GCPD's relationship in this movie, but this is how it usually is this early in Bruce's career and how it would be in real life. When Batman starts out, most of Gotham's police are corrupt and hardly do anything to protect the city, so he has no faith or trust in them. The only "Good cop" in Batman's eyes is Gordon.

  • @Corvenik1

The great part of this movie is that it takes the Detective aspect of the batman mythos and the the way they made the Riddler was great, not over the top campy as the old movie did with Jim Carrey but the whole zodiac killer vibe was crazy

  • @kylewestlake982

I loved how grounded this one was, even more I think Christopher Nolan made Batman. Really excited for the sequel.

  • @fleason771

Did you not know "The Batman" was primarily filmed on location in England? Liverpool was used for the Police HQ & The funeral of the commissioner. It also used an incredible infinity wall, The BTS on this is fascinating

  • @bella7162

I love how this movie shows the development of Batman!! Like Bruce Wayne is just a person that has been suffering a lot, he feels the pain of his parents being killed and having to grow up without them and the pain of the city getting destroyed and corrupted and I love how Batman is a way Bruce finds to help the city and to keep doing what his father was doing. Its amazing how he doesn't start as a hero, but only wanting revenge ("I'm vengeance") but later when he saves people from the flood he starts to realize that he shouldn't focus on revenge, but on helping people so we can see him slowly becoming a hero ugh its just sooooo good

  • @ReeseRizzerspoon

fun fact: the one kid in the subway scene with half his face painted (who batman let go) also plays Tim Drake / Robin in the Titans series

  • @justsomerandomguy992

Fun fact, alfred’s actor played cesar in the planet of the apes trilogy

  • @justuce_24_8foster9

The reason he was staring is because he knows how that feels as he also lost his parents as a child.

  • @backstage6672

Robert Pattinson and Matt Reeves spoke about how since it's only his second year as batman Bruce really doesn't understand how being Bruce Wayne can help him be a better Batman aswell and he hasn't achieved the balance of it yet and is pretty much batman ALL the time but with time he'll understand the importance of Bruce Wayne while he's batman too so probably next movie we'll see more of his playboy side as Bruce Wayne

  • @18thhokage91

Definitely didn’t know you were a dad my boy. CONGRATULATIONS FAM 🎉🖤. no wonder you’re grinding like crazy
