I don't believe he is deliberately rude as firstly he was polite and had manners with the lady, but truthfully the African continent being as poverty stricken as it is, it is not France and on that note difficult to comprehend true poverty if never immersed.
Kino is sometimes hard to stomach..if the lady ha some water am sure that's what she'd have offered...she's a kind heated lady and I feel bad for her generosity.. Pride is for the faint hearted
No . That’s a good gesture bro . Its cool . It’s just means showing love like for example buying a meal or a drink to someone. It doesn’t mean you poor .
There was a British woman who did this sort of travels across Middle East on camel back, this guy is using modern tech 😂 Gertrude Margaret Lowthian Bell CBE (14 July 1868 - 12 July 1926) was an English writer, traveller, political officer, administrator, and archaeologist. She spent much of her life exploring and mapping the Middle East, and became highly influential to British imperial policy-making as an Arabist due to her knowledge and contacts built up through extensive travels.
You know Yves you provide entertainment to everyone you pass. You are like a street performer. No. A world performer. We want to donate to you to support you.
The gift one receives by giving is joy. You give that joy by receiving the gift. If you turn it down, you take that bit of happiness from the person. You made her happy. 👍🏻👍🏻💕

There are many ways of liking or appreciating your unique efforts, just like the lady and the gentleman who bought you lunch somewhere in Zambia did. All the best Kyve.... Love from Kenya.
Yves glad to see you rolling to the south. Yves you are more knowledgeable about Africa than many of us. The kind lady did not mean you were poor. She just gave you whatever she could find on her hand out of pure love and admiration. People offer you drinks sometimes, take it like that. On the other hand I fully admire and share your attitude towards begging 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

As an avid Africa traveller, when I comes across someone doing what you're doing, be it in a vehicle, on a bicycle or on a tricycle, it's normal to assume that you're doing the journey to raise funds for a good cause or to raise awareness. Either way, many good Samaritans will want to support or donate in monetary form or in some way or the other. Some people just mean well when they offer to buy you a drink, or in her situation there was no bar or shop, so she gave you the money instead. Same gesture. Nothing to do with judging your financial situation based on how you look. It comes from her heart. Safe Travels and keep safe in South Africa. Commenting from South Africa.

@junglemarket6555 It would be incredibly rude of me not to accept it. But then I am honest with you, so even if it might seem weird to many of you, I still tell you what I truly feel about it. Yet I cannot refuse someone giving me a tip, it would be insanely rude.

If someone gives you money out of kindness and you don't want to take it, you can kindly tell them that they would be really happy if they gave this money to a person in need or to a charity
The lady was kind hearted and gave you some money for you to buy something to eat or drink on your way. I am sure if she have water or food with her she will offer to you. I think it’s ok and you shouldn’t feel bad about it. If I see someone riding on the bicycle like you are doing . I will probably do the same as the lady.
I thoroughly enjoyed traveling through Europe and now the beautiful Africa with it’s beautiful people and all from the comfort of my sofa whilst drinking my coffee Take care brother Love and peace from a cold wet Ireland
Yves, technical comment. Those battery cells wear out more if you charge them to 100% every time. So if you can start from Cape Town with 3 packs and keep them between 20% and 80% they will last longer. That is also how they do it in some electrical cars. Maybe get 2 chargers if that is possible. That woman's generosity was a beautiful sight. She is my favourite type of human being. God bless her. Generosity trumps dignity every time.
