- This video features one of our local steakhouses around home. It has been open for several months, but this was our first time trying it.
Plus, we have just learned the sad news of the passing of Kathy Mcallister, one of our subscribers. Kathy fought a courageous battle with a rare form of cancer, but always had a word of encouragement for us, and loved watching our videos. We are glad to know she was a born again believer in Jesus Christ, so she has now received the ultimate healing. Still, we will miss her comments on our videos and our Facebook, and her kind words of encouragement. Prayers for her family in the days ahead.

So sorry to hear about Kathy Mcallister. Praying for her family. This restaurant is so cool looking. We love the Saguaro cacti on the wall. We liked all the western pictures on the wall. Saw many places we have visited. Glad you enjoyed your meal. We have not heard of this steakhouse before. We will be keeping our eyes open for one. Thanks for sharing.
There are 8 locations. The closest one to you, would be in Mt. Airy. There's also one in Wilkesboro.
Yes, the decor was really nice. Had that Western feel to it. I'm not sure if the others are the same way.

Im glad i rewatched this vid i just watched the new one and i was just thinking about Kathy i talked to her a lot on here and my wife did to sweet lady i miss her a lot but one day we will ser her again ❤
Amen to that! I was thinking about her yesterday when we were there, and remembering that we did that tribute to her the last time we had been there.
She was such a blessing to us. We have several negative people now, and they just want to critique and criticize us for everything, or correct us about the way we say something.
But here she was, battling terminal cancer, but she had nothing but kindness to spread. Never one critical comment on any of our videos.
We really miss her on the channel.

We were surprised when the Sagebrush in Boone closed as well. It was always good.
Yes, we thought Sagebrush was good, as well. Not sure if any are left now. The ones around here are gone.
Great review and I'm a new subscriber. I don't know about the Dodge City in Lenoir but the Dodge City in Clemmons has the cheeseburger and fries on Mondays for $5.00. You can't beat that deal and it's very good!
$5 for a cheeseburger and fries, is about the best deal you are going to get anywhere. We'll have to keep that in mind for lunch. I'm assuming that it is just a lunch special?
I don't know about the other Dodge City restaurants, but the one located in Clemmons NC has that special all day cause I will usually pick it up for carry out after work.

That’s not a bad price on a steak and yalls food looked good. I think they need bigger plates cause they were overflowing! Looked good and prices were good. Its $35 and up at Fatz here for a steak and most places are $35 to $45 it’s gotten really expensive for a steak! Even in the grocery store…
I love to eat out but I have a hard time ordering and usually get the same thing once I find something I like.
Yall are fortunate you have so many nice places to go to. It’s limited here.

Great review . The wife and I ate at the Dodge City Steakhouse Elkin years ago and I that it was good but she said it was just ok. Its hard to tell when you go just one time though. The one in Clemmons has those MIXED reviews too. I guess the best way to solve that issue is just to try it and judge for yourselves. as you two did. I wished you had gotten a camera shot of you cutting into that side of beef you got,lol!
We have not tried any other location. The one in Wilkesboro we had talked about going to, but I thought it had shut down. But after looking on their website, it apparently just moved to another location in town.
We were both well satisfied with our meal. We will definitely give it another try.
I should have cut into it, but I guess I was just in a hurry to start eating and forgot. Didn't want my macaroni and cheese to get cold, because if there's one thing I can't stand, it's macaroni and cheese that isn't warm.
When that steak first came out, it didn't look like it was 18 oz. But I believe it was every bit of that. I was stuffed, and it seemed to just keep multiplying on the plate. I didn't think I was going to get it finished. I'll go for the 12 oz next time.
@@NCMemoryMakers , yall need to head to Texas and you need to try the 72 ounce steak challenge at THE BIG TEXAN STEAKHOUSE!
We ate there back in 2006, but there was no way I was going to tackle that challenge. I would get sick as a dog trying, and I still wouldn't finish it, and I'd have to pay for it. The best one we went to in Texas, was back in December outside of El Paso. It was called the Cattleman. We do have a review on that one.

Amen to that! I'm so glad that through the Gospel and trusting what Jesus did on the cross, we have a hope beyond this life. That's what keeps my wife going through the loss of her mother... the promise of seeing her again.

This video came up as a "suggestion" with the more recent one being the one I'd selected. Knowing that you're a pastor, I was curious about the tribute. You really need to pray about taking another call. You have many skills. But, your presentation of God's Gift of Salvation at the beginning of this video was not just out of the park, but the parking lot, as well. Be assured that you'll meet her someday. As for the critical/negative comments? Before he grew up and out, there used to be a teenager at my church who often wore a t-shirt reading 'H8rs R Gonna H8" on one side and 'Love Your H8rs' on the other. Among the shortages we have too much of in this world is kindness. Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior. And because of that, perhaps I see the world a bit differently than some. It's not enough to say 'that's the way the world is.' We need the courage to say, "Let's!". And, make the world better. BTW, your videos are a part of that! God Bless!
Glad you enjoyed the video. Not sure what you mean by "taking another call", but yes, we definitely are going to glorify God and put the Gospel on our channel. This was a very sweet lady that we never got to meet down here, but we certainly will one day! We're glad for the promise of God and the hope which is in Christ.

Worst meal I ever had. The Manager is rude and very nasty. Waited 20 minutes to get a seat and they only had 3 customers. The meals were wrong and the Manager talked to us like we were homeless.
Sorry you had that experience. Ours was very different.
