Maintenance is key. Between you a& your family and farm hands you run a smooth operation. You guys provide this world with some top notch dairy products. I admire and have the most up respect for each and everyone of you. Thanks so much for all your hard word. 🐄🐄🐄🌾🌾🌾
Another great video! There aren't any boring parts with these videos even seeing the same job being done. Maintenance is so much easier than doing major repairs! Take care and God Bless!
Hey Jan, it's called preventive maintenance taking care of the little things so they won't be giving you any grief in the end. Aww mommy wasn't home to make her baby boy lunch --> just teasing you😉 but that burger and fries looked good🤤 one good thing is that you and your neighbors share you may never know when you might need something and they are there to lend a helping hand. So what's next for SDK keep up the good work and see you in the next video🤔😯🍔🍟😋😉
Notice available 21yr. old bachelorettes the man himself pointed out "single 21yr. old boy". When he says "single and available"get ready to try on the glass slipper. Till then the handsome multi tasker roams free. Good video SDK. Peace.
Yes, Jan! Maintenance is of the essence. May your wisdom always guide you. Here's one for you: "If ya don't maintain what ya have, ya won't have what ya got!"
You do good work, impressed with your loader skill shaking up round bales in the barn. Not much room for error! Your dad taught you well about maintenance, certainly is easy to overlook.
Single 21 yr old. Some good guy2guy advice: when you're ready for a young lady do exactly what your dad did. From our vantage point you three siblings and the farm is proof that you couldn't possibly do any better than SaskDutchMom. The utmost respect to your parents. BTW, Maintenance is key.
Yes, Jan, maintenance is truly key. Makes life so much easier in the long run. The maintenance you perform around your farm, the 10th Generation Dairyman, the Hoof GP all practice excellent maintenance techniques to keep your equipment in A++ condition. The other obvious reason to have a key and ongoing maintenance program is that your equipment is less likely to suffer breakdowns due to simple negligence. So those people who criticize you with "aw, another lube job, or didn't you just change the oil or put new rubber gaskets on that" need to wake up and smell the coffee. These would be the same people who never get an oil change in their car and then complain when they blow their engine. For farmers in the colder and snowy parts of the US and Canada, it sure is much nicer to take care of a piece of equipment while temps are pleasant in the 50°F, 60°F, & 70°F range than freezing your arse off in -20°F to -40°F and trying to unstuck a frozen bolt while your hands are like ice!! Do yes, maintenance, and especially preventative maintenance, is the key to making your farms run far more efficiently as well as for us, our vehicles. Preventative maintenance can all save us hundreds or thousands of $$. It just takes one breakdown and you'll be eating triticale or dog food to save up the $$ to get your equipment or vehicle repaired. Am I right?? Darn tootin' I'm right!! Ok then. Lecture over!!! 🚜🐴🐮🐣🐤🐄🐏🐐🐎🐂🐓🚜
Maintenance is key! But my favorite comment: "whole milk straight out of the bulk tank" Nothing better, oh yeah! LOVED the fresh pitcher my grandmother would bring in every morning from the milk house. My pap would get dibs on the pitcher to enjoy the inch or so of cream that would rise to the top. Let's say I forgot that one morning. Just once. :-P
I grew up working around different types of farms and always enjoyed the maintenance and repair aspect, even the "weld just to make hold for right now". Im new to watching your channel, Great videos.
Maintenance is Key doesn't everybody watch to the end I wouldn't miss a second of your videos Have a great day and I think you should put a go pro on a calf that would be funny to watch!
maintenance is key, I have been binge watching all your videos since the beginning, I'm subscribed, I watch them all to the end with a LIKE. I'm now up to this point. I did the same with 10th Generation Dairy farmer. it is now September 2022. Good luck, Ken in RI, USA
Love your new vlog style showing us your lunch time and your funny side! You're actually pretty damn funny!!! LOL Keep it up you're one of the best vloggers out there! Maintenance is Key!!
Not a dairy farmer. But your love this site. I work in Tillamook Oregon and theres lots of dairy farming. I have always wondered about all farming equipment, what they are used for, why they do the things that they do. Your videos helps to explain most of my questions!
Cows are smart enough to stop when theres a gate in their way. People automatically look for a way around it. Have worked a long time in construction and theres always an idiot trying to get passed the fence on foot or the gate with his car no mather how many roadsigns you put up.
Enjoyable with a side order of humor....When taking applications for a potential mate, bring them to the farm: artificial inseminate a hefer, clean the dirtiest piece of equipment you have using bare hands as much as possible, take them in the tractor while spreading liquid manure. If they make it through those things it will be a good start.
Yep maintenance is definitely key to a successful operation just part of the job and its pays off in the long run. Great job Jan keep it up and thanks for letting us be part of what you do!
Maintenance is key. Remember this wisdom applies to your shoulders in a parlour like yours. WD## can't help you if you overdo it in there. Your cows are all so clean - such a joy to see them so calm and happy 😍
Maintenance is key for the SaskDutchKid! He takes care for the equipment, the barns and the ladies 365 days a year. About how many bales of straw on a semi?? Do you use the wheat straw in all the rations? Pretty cool trick to toss and cut the small straw bales. Thanks for another great video Jan.
Maintenance is key! Hi Jan! Love your attitude and great smile all the time. I never get tired of watching your videos, always great content and interesting stuff. Now I'm hungry after seeing your burger and fries!!! Stay safe and healthy Jan!
Maintenance is key. Jan it would be funto have a wrestling match in the cow barn on the slippery stuff on the floor. lol. Thanks for sharing your work with us today, you are the man.
Maintenance is always the critical key. Preventive maintenance is worth doing since it keeps equipment going longer. Identifying, correcting and preventing possible failures saves time.
Top job on maintenance Jan! Great the bale wagon has sufficiently been repaired right now. Hey, Interesting to see you're so closely located to the traintrack in SK! You've just trains for transport of goods or also trains for passenger transport in SK? It nice to see that you all, you and your sister are dealing so nicely with the animals at the farm, the cows, calf's and cats and so on👌😉 Oh, almost forgot Jan: maintenance is key buddy ...
Way to go with another very informative and entertaining video... as a city boy myself (raised in San Francisco Bay Area, CA and now living in Las Vegas, NV... and spent some summers on my grandfather's farm in Mena, AR) it brings back memories fond memories of my grandma teaching me to milk cows by hand... and my grandfather teaching me how to stay out of Domino's (the Texas Longhorn bull) way as we would walk across the corral to get to the barn to milk the cows and slop the pigs... Keep up the good work Jan... my best to you and your family... and stay safe and healthy...
maintenance is key ! Nice thorough job - you're a natural at explaining it all and getting footage that's interesting. and the snap transition, well - magic. ;)
Thx again for doin what you do and sharing with us. The box for the crowd control gate looks like a place where one might stash an extra liter of oil for refills. (save time and a few trips up and down the ladder/rail)
Seems you are extra busy today Jan. PM is a good thing that always pays off in the long run! You are smart to stay ahead of it! Like your lunch! Maintenance is Key!

Maintenance is key, indeed. Maintenance is key! Absolutely Kid. You make me miss my job as a kid being a hand on a farm. I loved the job. Your videos bring back the memories!

I don’t think he’s looking for a lady in glass slippers, not on a farm! He’s looking for a lass who looks good in overalls and hard sturdy boots.😝
Don't assume it's necessarily a woman Jan want. We never know 😜
I heard Jan say single but I did not hear him say "available".
:)

Heck let them watch the birth of a calf and if they can get past that then she’ll be a good one too keep
And take them swimming in the pond.
