PARAGLIDING the ISLE OF WIGHT!

- A movie put together by my brother and myself, spending the year on #theactiveisland (isle of wight) chasing thermals to fly as many of the flying sites as possible. There is a great Paragliding scene on the Island and some amazing conditions. To fly here you need to not only be a member of the BHPA but also the IOW hangliding and paragliding club so that you have access to some of the launch spots. The south coast is some of the best costal souring in the south coast of the UK with a 20 mile stretch of flyable coastline.

... Maybe i better check to see if he is english champion first. Prepare for the onslaught of paragliders giving you advice on some of your bad flying habits :P were a very critical bunch but risk vs reward and avoidable accidents weigh heavy on many of our minds.
Anyways sign upto xcontest log your flights or simply check to see what and how the other people have been flying your local sites. Its very handy to see where they can and cant get too so you can have a goal to do the same

Anyways just find a name you recognise who flys IOW and then check theyre flights log your own compare learn live good luck. Always fun to see freestyle kiters move to paragliding. I lost a few kite comps back in 2012 at the old age of 26 and started flying cause everyone in the paragliding comps are genuine coffin dodgers so i knew i had a chance of being on podium one day.
