    While I am not comparing you to the late Tony Dean, you are a tremendous representation of the Dakotas and the outdoors. Thank You for your quality efforts and continued educational material showcasing hunting and fishing.

    My wife wants to come to ND for a few days probably around the 18th or 20th this month. How's the fishing then?

      Sakakawea is a tremendous fishery but I don’t have the prophetic abilities to predict the future. All I would dare say is that the fishing is always good for somebody. Usually, the lake fishes well in June but there is a lot of water. I would contact the Van Hook Baitsbop or Six Mile Corner in Garrison.

    Great video Jason! This is my main set up for the dog days of summer on Mille Lacs. Is there anything you've noticed on rigging it or any other subtle changes to get the bigger fish to bite? Seems like I am catching eater sized fish when using it.

      +Water and Ice Outdoors sometimes going faster like 1.5 or more is the ticket for the bigger fish. Something else I like to do is take a Gulp worm and rig it on the two hook harness so that the worm is curved. When you pull the curved worm fast, it zig zags and wobbles through the water like a snake and the big fish love it while the smaller fish usually ignore it. Good luck!

    Another fabulous show!
    Hard to top Walleye and deer sausage.
    Spawned out and eating; is that correct?
    On Oahe, I usually plan for that type of bite in July, depending on the year, of course.
    Thank you, guys.

    What are wind blown shorelines ? Is that a shoreline that the wind is blowing directly to ? And what is yesterday’s wind ? Please and thank you 🙏

      +Uncle Wreckum yes where the wind is blowing in and yesterday’s wind is where the wind blew in the day before.

    when the lake level drops the fishing tanks, why is that Jason ?

    • @JasonMitchellOutdoors
      @JasonMitchellOutdoors  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Jerry Anderson have seen the lake levels drop way down a few times in my life and when the smelt numbers crash from lack of cold/ deep water, the walleye numbers and size crashes. When the lake has water however, it is one of the best fisheries around.

    Are the rods your using your walleye pro series great lakes trolling rods?

    • @JasonMitchellOutdoors
      @JasonMitchellOutdoors  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I am using the JM Elite Series as these rods are a little stiffer graphite which seems to help pop the bottom bouncer out of snags better than the softer trolling rods. The trolling rods will work find if you are not fishing around a lot of rock.

      +Jack Anderson the reels are a Made for Scheels and manufactured by Okuma. The low profile baitcaster with a line counter is something we hope to see for a long time. Most stores should get more in stock if they are sold out or you can find it online.
