Seeing the stars and stripes on medieval knights is a sight to see as the USA missed that period of history by a few centuries. But I'm glad to see being a few centuries short of practice hasn't left us too bad

@@izzy5415 being interested in buhurt and ancient fencing, welp, its not that they aren't good its just that from what i see, they dont have a lot of techniques or use everything at their advantages like with the polearms, theres so much they could do than just bonk people, like aim the legs or hook the leg to try making their opponents fall, but since its not duels and its armored combats ( not like hema where its unarmored) i dont know if it be really effective

I don't think it is too weird, a lot of U.S citizens are of European decent so they have that heritage even if they immigrated to somewhere else.

I can't see a single reason why any country may be deemed not eligible to participate in it. Olympic sports have, say, a disc throwing. So what, only Greeks should be allowed to do this, simply because other nations never had this tradition? (I am generalising of course)

Damn, this gives me thoughts about how it must have been for real back in the time. Total chaos, you can't see much and you're constantly waiting for someone to start jamming something sharp through some joint or opening, and you're trapped inside that armor, yuck.

cant stab and that’s it
No stab motions with weapons, for obvious purposes, eye protection, gap protection. No striking behind the neck, leg, or any gapped area where the armor is not protecting (it sometimes happen, but avoid it if possible). Once you are pushed down to the ground, you are out, last man/team standing wins the match/round. I may be missing some rules. Refer to the HMBIA rulebook online.
