I'm an End of Life Doula and one of my clients is on hospice. She's a Pisces and when I got to her yesterday she was crying, "I'm going to die". She is in her 70s and has always had dreams and visions come to her. I played a spiritual healing meditation for her yesterday and she appeared to find some peace and comfort in that. My relationship with my husband spans 27 years. The little things, the daily flirtations, these are the important things. If the Hubs DOESN'T smack my butt as I walk by, something's wrong. Wow, I have felt so overwhelmed, knowing the loss my job is eminent, a dear friend of 30 yrs is losing her battle to throat cancer, never smoked lived a healthy lifestyle. 😢😢😢 I don’t want to get out of bed, haven’t felt so depressed in many many years. Having trouble accepting my limited time on this earth, the question keeps coming up what is this all about, what is the purpose of so much pain and suffering in the world.

Intimacy gets more difficult the longer you are together. We have been together 22 yrs, kids are gone and we moved away from kids. Of course we now have grandkids. The longer you are together it’s more difficult because you have to remember what brought ya’ll together before all the kids and grandkids. Yes! I have to promote Adam’s point on sex and healing. I was reviewing some data a few days ago from the Gottman’s who are considered the experts on relationship research… “Familiarity” (i.e. commitment) creates security, relaxation and openness-all the things needed to build trust (which is the foundation for a healthy relationship) and to engage in sexual acts for women especially. However, this is antithetical to “novelty” which is what creates sexual excitement for both and is especially important for men. Both are needed in order to create a long lasting relationship, so how do you reconcile them? It’s exactly what Adam said: eroticism is created, not randomly stumbled upon in the hallway. This means intentionality and building intimacy and excitement between acts is needed. The difference between couples that report a satisfying sex life vs those who don’t has to do with affection and emotional connection. And this may be a surprise, but according to the research, there is NO relationship between quantity of sex and happiness but there is with quality (except for needs that are extremely different, like a pairing between someone who is hyper-sexual and asexual). Last night I didn’t sleep at all because of a very difficult I’d almost call it traumatic situation at work, thanks to the Libra solar eclipse in my 6th house. All physical activities to ground my feelings and sooth my spirit 😊

I had the worst nightmare of my life that I woke up crying with early this morning which then led to a panic attack and crying at a level I haven’t experienced in so long.
I found out yesterday just before work that an older friend was diagnosed with cancer... again. And at my break that my apt I planned to move into this Friday won't be available and they don't have a date for me yet. This is also causing my dog to have over a month boarding because I dont have a place to stay that he can be with me. I will definitely be letting a lot of emotions out soon.
