Thanks for the video, hopefully picking up a ZL1 soon, and these are definitely on my mod list! Any tips you can think of that didn't make into the video?
Ballast/resistors? Water resistant ? I doubt in sunny socal they worry about moisture or rain and or a car wash once every few wks. I have, Im sure to their delight, rewatched this video 8x and cant find a single mention of any resistors, placement of them or wiring position for them. Had a friend watch thats a master ASE tech and even he said this is not a novice job and important wiring info and such was completely missing.
And after installing plate bracket on bottom lf new light at 5:29 he touches 2 seperate wires and says "thats for reaistor and thats for brake" but never shows those connections and where 🧐 and add to that once on and tested the white reverse lights only work omce in awhile or come on then go off after1-2 sec. Btw asked a friend that knows vehicle electrical amd he see's no load resistors and says I might need them. Im not into cutting into wires aka splicing so since no load resist parts are here and there is ansolutely no info in vid about it, we are sending these back 😔 after 700 spent and nothing works better than 60%.
Pretty good video but missing at least 5-7 steps including where in the rear fender/quarter panel does the connectors go, he just talks about it AND doesnt show any resistors and where resistors go🤔?? because none were mentioned/shown for install and location plus I am not a wire splicer, solder kind of person and I have heard "after purch" that these require solder/splicing, and all I an say is nope!. Refund inbound. Love these but as I said Im no wire master or electrician.
Whats the black plate around the license plate?
I wanna buy it to lol
somebody to tell us what it’s called
