This is so weird in Korea! It's so obvious it was a vehicle malfunction. I recall a similar case in 2009, near San Diego, USA, where a family made a 911 call as their vehicle uncontrollably sped up to over 120 MPH on a highway. The whole family flew off the road after a collision with another vehicle and died. Toyota was negligent as the floor pedal in the affected 2009 Lexus E350 was determined to be defective. Two months subsequent to the tragedy, about 8 million affected vehicles across multiple models were recalled. An undisclosed out-of-court settlement was reached in 2010 between Toyota and the family of the deceased. The 911 call is publicly available on YT, but it is truly harrowing and tragic.
honestly the laws in korea are in great need of reform. saying the passenger had NO EVIDENCE was insane. the way there was a dashcam both outside and inside the car, the man clearly turning off the engine etc... its just so bad... i have a feeling that its because of big car companies that fund the korean government, that has to be the only way they're willing to exclude liability in such a strange way when this was CLEARLY a case of SUA.
i was in a car accident myself in 2022 and i swear i was pressing the break but the car accelerated, crashed into a few trees and then a big one which finally caused the car to stop, luckily myself and my dad were okay but the car caught fire shortly after we got out. it was so scary, but there was a fault in the car (i crashed 5 days after buying it- the steering was slightly heavy and the pedals were also very strange, but we thought it was due to the car being in the garage for too long (unused)), ever since then i havent drove and i just watched this for taerae and now im panicking even more 😭😭😭😭😭
why are there so many sudden acceleration accidents in Korea? Its obviously a problem with the manufacturer. they should be held responsible asap. all this new thechnology doesn't necessarily make driving safer sadly.
I'm fixing my anxiety on driving because I'm planning to learn this year but this video isn't helping me at all. That sudden acceleration due to car malfunction (it obv stopped working properly after the illegal u turn bump) scared the sht out of me. 😣
@@Suho0_0its sad but understanding since its the same all over the world , ppl wants something but gov wants another thing and they dont care about ppl wills
Are the law actually related to the bribery or corruption in korea? Like, if not, it will make no sense not to charge the manufacturer.. is it seems like some kind money game in the law?
How is it that the court system is blaming it on the driver. What is wrong witht e court system. What are they afraid of that they can't sue or reprimand the car company. You were sworen in to protect the innocent and do rught by the people. Ridiculous
I get you like Taerae, but this is an actual important topic that needs to be discussed and has killed people. Including the death of a young boy where the police were trying to charge his grandmother with his death. Please have situational awareness. Having Taerae as a guest is wonderful, but saying you are "just here for Taerae" is insensitive to those who die or whose lives are severely affected by these SUA cases.
why didn't we try changing the gearbox to neutral (manual) or neutral (automatic) if the car goes crazy (impossible to brake or turn off the engine)? 🤔
People have tried everything and it doesn't work. The car isn't just having a break issue, it's accelerating like crazy as if the pedal is pushed to the floor.
even then he can't slow down nor would he of had enough space to stop without people getting hurt. We also don't know what type of car that was and he may of been unable to switch gears blaming the driver is crazy
Yeah they need to stop making cars with systems that can be controlled bye a computer a person should have all the control how many if these accidents need to happen world wide before they realize it is the cars systems malfunctioning

I never understand the logic behind korean law !!
Even us Koreans don’t, we want change to our laws but no one in govt is listening. Or those who like these laws overrule our desires
@@Suho0_0its sad but understanding since its the same all over the world , ppl wants something but gov wants another thing and they dont care about ppl wills
watched this for taerae and im so shocked omg.
I’m glad that no one passed away from this accident. It would be sad if the taxi driver got punished when it obviously wasn’t his fault
Finally the sub is here !

mostly they use local brand. perhaps hyundai or daewoo?
Petrol is best😕 electric are too complex and even a small problem can cause chain reaction

For views, to draw viewers in so awareness can be brought to reckless driving. Click bait if you will
@@Suho0_0 I knew that already, it's just a way of saying.. But anw thank you for seriously answering my question, you're so nice honestly

@@MaituS. it worked tho- look at how many fans of Taerae came to this video bc of his face/name.
Thats so scary...
Bye this wad so scary
Is this an electric cars that suddenly accelerates and have this fault?
You can clearly hear the engine sound....
why didn't we try changing the gearbox to neutral (manual) or neutral (automatic) if the car goes crazy (impossible to brake or turn off the engine)? 🤔
why don't you try first? and we'll see what will happen.
