I'm sad Vanguard won't be having a show this year. The percussion book for the front ensemble is my favorite out of all of the cores. It's pleasant to listen to and they do an incredible job.

That's something that was beat into me when I played marimba.
When it comes to sound amplification(and lets be honest.... so many other facets of life) the old adage of "garbage in, garbage out" holds so true.
The mics are to make good sound louder, not to provide the sound quality for you.
