    I just bought a used 2015 Kenworth W900L with 113,000miles on it, and i love that truck to death. If my wife would ever tell me to get rid of it guess who i would get rid of?. I drove trucks in Europe for 12 years and the European trucks are toys compared to the American trucks, the comfort is just amazing, it blew my mind when i first time stepped into an American truck. I can't believe now that i used to call American trucks junk when i drove in Europe. It's actually the other way around, the beating American trucks can take is just unbelievable, European trucks are very delicate compared to American trucks. If i would ever move back to Europe then i am definitely taking an American truck back with me, the only problem is length restrictions in Europe. Every European i met that moved to the US and tried driving American truck said they would not be able to go back to a European truck.
    I am sorry Europe but American trucks are just better and tougher.

      Ok Aviation......................listen really carefully here now. You must be somewhere out there in the moon or you haven't been out there driving the ok Scania's and Volvo's in Europe..............really !!!!!!!!!!!!!! I drove Scania's V8's and Volvo's the 14-16 litres in Scandinavia back in the -70 and -80 sh and come on................American truck's could not at all get the + like what the driver's are getting for driving the European truck's back there.......come on now ! I been driving here in the Us for a lot of years and wow, can't believe how far behind the truck's are here........................drives and looks like old Army truck's way back then wow, what a supprice I did have then when I saw the first American truck back then in the early -80 sh. Ok, I even had to import a Scania to have it here to drive here in the Us because I could not drive a US truck being so used to the comfort of driving the Scania then. Ok, enough said and I know and you know what I'm talking about. TCB,

    Ok everybody out there !!!!!!!!!!!!!! In the USA, the Volvo ( American model ) is the best, and really the best if it has the Volvo drivetrain. In Europe....................Scania, and not just the Scania but the Scania with the V8..............the best of the best big time. Beside the drivetrain in the European truck's the combo setup that they use wow, unbelievable combo's. Ok, enough said and whoever that read and knows what I'm talking about here they know ! TCB.

    Aqui para 5 eixos o bruto eh de 36.5 toneladas, enquanto que no Brasil é 41toneladas.

    Why do American trucks have the engine out in front? In Europe the driver sits on top of the engine, surly this makes the truck easier to handle and manoeuvre.

    • @SuperBigblue19
      @SuperBigblue19 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      +philip013 Cabovers are used mostly for specialized accounts that are intercity or have tight acces. In the US we use Conventional tractors because they have more room in them .You will not find many Cabovers with 63 to 72" sleepers. EU has tiny roads so they are forced to use shorter wheelbased trucks and trailers.I have driven both cabover and conventional OTR and the latter is way better for OTR in US.

    These videos remind of all the fuel wasted by idling trucks. Google: "excessive diesel idling" and "peak oil denial"

    • @vlog18rodas
      @vlog18rodas 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Remind you wrongly. All trucks parked are not idling. We use APU. All trucks at my company got the Thermo King Tripac model.

    • @geot4647
      @geot4647 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      vlog18rodas True, but too many still use the main engine. Car drivers overdo it also. Lots of diesel pickup drivers act like wannabe truckers.
      Those who think America is now awash in oil are seriously deluded. See: "Shale Oil - Crash Course Chapter 21 - Peak Prosperity" or Google: U.S. shale oil peak 2020

    • @cobra3289

      +Geo T Its not so bad in the US but in Canada they idle the trucks. Probebly cant afford batteries or never heard of night heater.Stuck in time. I drive a Cascadia and never idle it . I have the tripac but never use it. Too mutch noise. But the night heater runs all night and I have plenty of battery power in the morning even down to ,20 minus celcius.

      John Vicks I would but those are all American companies I live in Canada which is a drawback for me but it is what it is I went to a local trucking school to get some information and they said if I'm paying privately they'll reduce it to $6,400 basically its $7,000 if you get approve for government student funding but I did try to get funding they don't approve because its only 2 months of training 200 hours in class and 200 hours in the truck I'm just sick of working at factories low wage jobs long haul trucking is so much more better you have nobody looking over your shoulder just drive and be as early as possible on time for delivery

    • @static_Tricolor_camry
      @static_Tricolor_camry 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      John Vicks Yeah I know some people waste money on school and quit after a year I don't seek a relationship or communicate with friends much so long hauling isn't a issue for me I like working alone nobody to tell you what to do and watch you I'm definitely planning on driving a lot of miles backing up the trailer is the hard part but like many truckers say it takes practice I remember this one school I went to for information the instructor took me for a ride inside his truck just to get the feel of it to see if I would like it and man was it huge inside when he was making a left turn I thought he was going to drive on the curve he had the trailer hooked up to the 5th wheel I heard the secret to backing up a trailer without hitting anything or blindside is make little cut till the trailer is position straight in the spot I may end up buying my own truck after 2 years of trucking cause most companies don't maintain their trucks I'm worried about break downs

    .Now the truth about trucking ....I worked for three major companies that serviced the lower 48 states , and one local that serviced the 11 western states ... ..They all worked the same , SHITTY !.... They leave trips off of your pay ... They leave layover pay off of your pay .... They basically screw you every which way they can.. Then its up to you to try and figure out what they left off ... Then put in for it again and then they leave it off again ... You will also be required to pay for your load locks ... Same deal .. You put in for compensation and they dont pay you ...... "Put in for it again we must have missed it" ....The driver managers get a percentage of everything they keep YOU from having ... When you put in for "hometime" and your home is back in the west they immediately send you to the east coast then say theres no freight back to the west coast to get you home ... They tell you they will give you $500 bucks to get in a truck immediately after you come back from your trainer.... What they don't tell you is they give it to you at $50 bucks a month and then leave it off your pay ... This goes on everywhere at every trucking company .... If you lease to own that truck about 4 months before you pay that truck off they may withhold loads from you so you cant pay your truck payment.... This happens about 30% of the time ...Then they get their truck back and YOU made ALL the payments !.. If you make it and pay off your truck they will not give you your "pink slip" to your truck ... EVER ! ..... If you are a company driver you will work in the south (heat) in the summer and north in the winter (2 hours minimum to chain up and your exhausted when finished) .... If you leave your air conditioner on and idle the truck while down south to get some sleep in the summer they will write you up for wasting fuel ..... All in all DO NOT GET INTO THIS SHITTY BUSINESS ! !... Go work at MacDonalds and work your way up ... Anything is better than this business ... In this bad economy trucking companies are advertising and still cant get drivers ... Why ? Because its a Shitty business that 95% percent of all truck drivers leave because its so bad... If this is such a great business why are so many trucking companies advertising ? ? Its a bad economy . It would seem to me that drivers would be lining up to get to these "great" jobs .. ...Theyer all the same ... Very bad.... Why do all trucking companies have a substantial wall and a locked door between the drivers lounge and where the driver managers and the desk jockies sit ? ? Because the drivers get screwed constantly and they go off every once in awhile .... Why are there so many Serial Killers" that are truck drivers ? Because so many truck drivers are excons ..... If your young go into the military and learn a trade .. Remember that most of the videos here on You Tube that portray trucking in a positive light are made by the trucking companies .... Its a horrible industry that desparately needs cleaning up .... Go get a Coke or cup of coffe and sit outside of a truck stop and look at the quality of truck drivers that visit ... Most are morbidly obese and/or chain smoke .... Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere as fast as you can and never look back .....
