Thank you ladies, for another entertaining and educational video. When you were filleting that 'cuda It reminded me of filleting a "freshwater" 'cuda (aka Northern Pike) many years ago. No worries about any toxicity at the time though!
The teeth on them are pretty intimidating. I’ve never eaten it before but y’all’s dish looked pretty darn good and now I know when I get the chance to eat it I better make sure it’s a smaller fish. Thx ladies 🤗
Here in Honduras we eat barracuda all the time and haven't yet met anybody getting ciguatera poisoning. Best way to eat it is in ceviche, that's the ONLY way I eat it, there is something about the firmness of the meat in ceviche that no other fish does, most fish get mushy...barracuda doesn't. Try it, I HIGHLY recommend it
You know you can't bake if those syrups big cake muffins and shakes and your protein shakes as well you could add a little bit in with the flavor when you got Vanilla protein powder Taste pretty good Or if you're making pancakes you can put a little bit of flavor one of those little bit of that and a flavor in your pancakes as well
Small Barracudas are fine. Big ones, old ones better give a piece of it to a cat, if he doesn't eat it, it's toxic. Or put a piece where plenty of ants are moving around, if they don't go over it, it's toxic.

I wouldn’t call skipjack (Aku) a delicacy. Just because we eat it in Hawaii doesn’t make it a delicacy. Most people find it fishy, with a bloody/mineral taste. The only way I eat it is if it’s canned or the bone (leave some meat on the bone when filleting salt pepper and flour and pan fry). Smoked is ok once in a while. Is there a reason why you don’t eat the belly?
U ladies are kicking your videos up a couple notches great video
Barracuda is one of the sweetest fish in the ocean
Yes! Very sweet fish!
You are so right, it's all about the culture and upbringing. Thank you for your insight on the barracuda. It's all in the way you prepare it.

Awesome video ladies
Ive read that pretty much any reef fish has the potential to be toxic. ... they say more so if you are eating the fish heads ..

Never really see y'all bleed your catch?
Please explain..
Barricuda😂😂😂😂
Nasty I would not risk my life eating that toxic crap
The only reason that might be ok is because it was caught way offshore, not worth it if you had other fish to eat
The good news we made it out alive with no problems! lol
Guys why are you talking so fast in the opening....don't rush your verbiage....

There is a slot for barracuda. They must be 15in to 36in to keep. Yours looked borderline with no measurement
It was definitely well past 15"!
