But the timeline before mk9 i do not know about and not interested about but since mk1 is a new timelinr that has chararter BEFORE mk9 i search up chararter that idk

Mavado originally challenged Kabal to a fight somewhere before Deadly Alliance and almost killed him, he took away his hook swords as a trophy, then after Deadly Alliance and before Deception, Kabal came back, ambushed Mavado and supposedly killed him, to get back his hook swords.
