It’s actually kind of crazy such overpowered beasts such as Kratos and Omni Man end up crossovering with Mortal Kombat games. They really aren’t traditional “mortals” (let alone, actually mortals). Kratos (what seemed to be the GoW 3 version) is now a Greek God of War with the of the most powerful weapons, while Omni Man is a Vilturmite (a being like Superman). Although the idea of two beloved brutal powerhouses to Mortal Kombat make sense (due to their violent nature) and is very hyped and entertaining, lore wise, they are too op and are beyond mortal (sure, there are some that may up a decent fight or even rival them).
This in specific isn't a mod, rather a PS3 exclusive character. It is only possible to play as kratos if you happen to be playing this MK on the PS3, mainly because of how big GOW3 was at the time of release of this game
