  • Electric hunting bikes are becoming more popular and they are expensive, but are they worth it? What are some considerations as to whether you should get one or not? I’ll go over my thoughts on mine and hopefully help you with deciding if one is right for you.

That was an excellent point about the hub drive that I hadn't realized. My bike is a juiced rip current step through that I use and it has the hub moter. So with the pedal it has a cadence sensor and a pressure sensor so I could literally pedal without a chain and get power from the moter from the cadence sensor. Or just use the throttle. If the chain breaks. I hunt the mountains is swva and this bike has made hunting fun to get away from most others on the state lands that have bars on the roads.

Awesome video man. This is what I needed to here. Nobody does real world reviews like this.

Thanks for the kind words! I might add that you might want to take a look at the newer internal gears with the mid drive. When my QuietKat finally gives out that is what I will strongly consider if time shows that the internal gear box is dependable.

I ended up getting one on Amazon that is rear drive but had a hard seat on the back because I always have to carry buckets of bait for pigs. It was like 1200
750watt Italian (fucare) putting a basket on the front and back and saddle bags on the back. I'll let you know how it works out. We have nice simple rolling trails where we are.

Recently ordered my E-hunting bike, an E-CELLS Super Monarch Crown. 2 wheel drive, 2 batteries and dual suspension, all for just over $5,000. including 8.24% tax. E-CELLS headquarters in Parumph, NV. where the owner of the company lives, just FIFTY miles from me!
For hunting I have not found a more capable bike with better features and better quality components.
The 2 batteries charge on ONE port, a patented feature.
**Looks like i may have to also extend my rear fender the way you did B/C I need to be able to put my 1UP bike wheel hold-down as far up ion the wheel as possible. I live in Nevada and have to cover BIG distances to hunt and escape ATVs, thus theE-Cells bike.

Congratulations! Thanks for the info. I’m looking forward to looking into this bike. I’ve heard several times now there is a learning curve with the two wheel drives so be careful getting adjusted to it. Also after you’ve used it a few times, update is on what your initial thoughts are.

My buddy owns one and would only let me drive it in rear wheel drive on a paved street. He says the "learning curve" is steep.

Looking at the Rambo krusader ebike. It has a duel 500 watt hub. I live and hunt in Ky as well. We have few hills here to deal with

I’ve looked at that bike as well. Really liked what I saw. There is a new thing out that has really captured my attention and it’s internal hub gears. It gets rid of the derailleurs and its inherent issues. With a couple of years of history to work out any bugs I’ll probably replace my bike with one of those.

Was reading on some reviews the krusader doesn’t do well on steep hills

I like hunting with a bike but the electric ones are a bit pricey. My bike is a variable speed (fast as you can peddle it!). Good review, Emile

That’s funny! I know what you mean because I used a regular Walmart pedal bike for years before I bought this QuietKat.

Here is an interesting counter argument to my bias towards hub drive. I’m not changing my mind but it’s making me look closer and test out the hub drive bike a little more. th-cam.com/video/8tAkU9HW6SY/w-d-xo.html

Have you dragged a deer out of the woods with it?

I’ve tried but the chain jumped off repeatedly. That didn’t work. Now though I would get the pull behind carrier cart if I wanted to do that.
